- Here are all of my Edwardian bathing costume parts together! Well, at least until I make the swimming corset.
Don't worry, I found my boots, they were on the shoe rack in my closet! That's what I get for putting things away.
Thanks for taking us along on your bathing costume journey!
Hello Victoria, You did a great job making your bathing costume! Love your boots! Keep posting! Have a great afternoon! Kevin.
Great job!
The hot tub footage made me laugh so much :) You trying to swim in that small space was hilarious. But I think the costume looks nice even when wet :D
Those boots were a necessity!
For reassurance I’ll add that I have gone swimming a lot in my Edwardian Bathing Costume (same pattern) made of 100% cotton. The lakes in Washington state are plentiful and it works well in them. I wear my ordinary underwear, which you can’t see, and it’s not heavy or dragging me down to swim while wearing it. I didn’t know what would happen the 1st time but it’s fine and it’s machine washable which is so nice. I like the way you stay wet and cooled off after coming out of the water too, but of course it dries quickly. I also go bare legged from the knees down which isn’t historically accurate but it is functional for me. Thanks!
This was a fun video, using the hot-tub was just common sense :p I'm working on a ridiculously ruffled apron for a friend, it is almost done, but I am a maaster procrastinator. :)
I love the hot tub test!
if you submerge yourself will the hat stay on?
