Wow!! I watched Part I and now Part II! What a great ideal and I've been thinking about the same thing for my backyard. It makes sense to do for your family, friends, and the community!! Great job and Keep doing what you're doing!
Superb job! You mentioned you'd be taking it down eventually; has that happened yet? I really hope you can find someone who can make good use of it! Anyway, really glad TH-cam spat this one up for me. Major props to you and your crew!
It is still up and running and in very good condition. I figured winter would be really hard on it but it did really well. It will probably go to a youth group or something when we are done with it. Thanks for the kind words!
wow! starts straightforward but just keeps developing as you go along into some great holes & challenges in a very compact layout. well done! it'd be great to see a game played through on this. what's the overall par for a game? i've cleared & built an 18-hole guerrilla minigolf course on a local disused island that goes up & down cliffs as it winds its way around in the dirt & over & around rocks, playing as much as possible with the topological features for channels, ramps, downslopes & cups (a split in a rock, a goose nest, a hollow end of a downed hydro pole). not a lot of structure-building but there's a huge metal sign bent into a ramp to send you up over a cliff, an eavestrough jump over a pit, & a rail up into a tree & pipe that drops you down onto a plinko board with a variety of possible outcomes that all end in a raised hole. want to incorporate a loopdeloop somewhere & some mystery piping. thanks for showing this/these (yes, watched both in full) & i'm really gladdened to find that they don't suck atall: well done! are you really going to pass it along?
Wow!! Thanks so much for all the kind words. This has been a pretty awesome addition to our neighborhood. We really only thought we would have it for a year or so but this will be our 4th year. It has been a blast. As soon as the weather warms up a little I will make another video of us playing out the whole course.
@@nocoastangling i look forward to seeing a full playthrough! looking forward, too, to winter's end so i can get to work on tweezing our island course (Lumpy Littleput). i'm still hauling large stones over for borders & recently found a flexible tube i can use to better join the rail to the plinko board but there's still a foot of snow in the way of actully getting to work. no platforms, it's all on cleared dirt paths (except the plinko hole) with lotsa stone obstructions so there's no advance clearing with a shovel! by the way, i like the sign you made a hell of a lot: am a big fan of utilizing random chance, as you did with the backing sheet of plywood to spray the border pieces. looks great!
I came across this two years after you made it. Are you still using it? If so, would you consider a Part 3 to show us your updates? Love seeing you're from Kansas too!
Yes it is operational! We are going to repair a couple holes this spring, but all in all it is till and awesome backyard feature. I am planning to do an update video so folks can see how it's doing and some of the small changes that we have made. It will probably be closer to end of April or May.
Thanks! We painted all the wood and figured the carpet glue would also help protect the top. We made sure to drill holes in the top of the playing surface to help drain as well but that’s really it. We don’t get a ton of rain in southwest Kansas and I just figured if it lasts a year or 2, I’m good with that. 🤷🏻♂️ so far it has held up amazingly. Thanks for watching. 👊🏻
Hello, how did you seam 2 pieces of turf together? Did it naturally stick together with the turf adhesive or did you use separate glue/tape? Thank you!
love it!! update, haha ive gone for a more natural look on my 6 hole backyard course, check it out if your interested! trying trick shots now lol. one love
Somewhere around $8-9k. But this was during Covid when lumber was at its highest. It is considerably cheaper now. We are doing repairs and updates this weekend so part 3 will be out soon!
I watched the part 1 and it inspired me to make my own in my back yard
Right on! It’s so much fun.
That turned out great! I love seeing how much more complex the later holes got. Such a great progression.
Thanks. It was super fun to build and we have really been enjoying it.

Thanks so much! Check out part 3, it just came out a few weeks ago. New features.
@@nocoastangling Will do!

Really very clever.
I WANT THAT. 😲
Nice yall will definitely will cherrish good memories!!!!!
Thanks for sharing! 🎉
Make sure to check out part 3!
Cool video mane
Hi. Im building one too. I am using ferro cement and making some vintage looking statues. Thanks for your vodeos. They have motivated me!
That’s so awesome!
I just put out a part 3 video a few weeks ago. Hopefully you caught it.
I did not know there was a part three. I'm going to look it up now. Thank you!
Hole 17 and 18 look more fun than most mini golf places
Thanks! It’s a lot of fun for sure!
Badass! I'm making one or two for my backyard.. gotta do it
👊🏻💪🏼
both vids are fabulous. nice one.
Thanks so much! 👊🏻💪🏼
Great job guys. Watched both vids. This looks kick a$$. Lots of fun to be had. Enjoy!
Thanks! It’s been pretty fun.

Hi plans eg sizes would help. Great work. Tx
I truly wish I could afford to pay you to come to my house and build me one. This is awesome.
Me too!
Awsome 💪💪💪 thinking of doing something similar but with alot more artificial grass
Right on!
@@nocoastangling 💯😎💪 check out the puttek vids thinking somethijg similar to that, but yours is awsome 😎😎😎😎
Great job. Start a business maming the holes and ship them out.ckilr make great money if you can get lumber cheap enough.
love it! what type of turf did you use?
Don’t know specifically. It was just outdoor carpet from Home Depot.

Also, what product did you use for the rough patches of grass?
I’m not sure….it’s just a longer fake grass that they sell at pretty much any big home repair store.
I came across this two years after you made it. Are you still using it? If so, would you consider a Part 3 to show us your updates? Love seeing you're from Kansas too!

Cannot wait! I'm looking forward to it. Thanks for informing us.
If I wanted to make something similar but indoor, what do you think the total square footage needed (space wise) would be?
This is awesome! What do you use to prevent weathering for when it rains? I’m interested in doing something like this in my lot at my business.

Hello, how did you seam 2 pieces of turf together? Did it naturally stick together with the turf adhesive or did you use separate glue/tape? Thank you!
The glue pretty much took care of it. We just butted it together real tight and it has seemed to work out just fine.
How much did this cost because I want to do it and see if I can offord it
When we built this lumber was at its highest cost. We spent somewhere around $5000 I think. It would be much cheaper now.
I live in a very small town in Missouri. There is nothing for our youth to do here. I now know what to do with the acre of land that we are not using
@@lisacox8414 right on! It would be a lot cheaper to build nowadays. Make sure to check out part 3. It’s a good update and has more build details.
What is the ave width on the greens?
They are all different of course but I would say the average is probably about 3 feet.
How did you make the loop?
We used sheet metal to make the shape and hose material on the edges to help hold the ball on the loop.
How much did it cost?
In total….somewhere around $8k but this was during Covid when lumber was at its absolute highest. You could do it much cheaper now.
The long hole - what is the length and width of that
3’ X 30’
love it!! update, haha
ive gone for a more natural look on my 6 hole backyard course, check it out if your interested! trying trick shots now lol. one love
How wide are the straight ones?
Most of them are 32 inches wide
Can you give me the dimensions for the plinko hole please
How much did all 18 holes cost?
Somewhere around $8-9k. But this was during Covid when lumber was at its highest. It is considerably cheaper now. We are doing repairs and updates this weekend so part 3 will be out soon!
@@nocoastangling thanks! Super cool y’all still have it up and running.
Can you share with us the cost?
Somewhere around $8k but this was back during Covid when building materials were at their highest prices.
@@nocoastangling Thanks bro
Prime Retreat 2021?
👊🏻💪🏼
where did you get the clubs?
Flee markets, garage sales, and I ordered a few off of a mini golf supply company online.
