Hi! Most IV positions require previous experience; as for regular pharmacy positions retail experience is required and most require a certification either upon hire or within 6 months of being employed with the company. Be sure to subscribe and turn on your post notifications, I have an upcoming video that will be explaining all of these details as well as the application and hiring process.
@@Carlee96you probably need at least a year of experience or 6 months retail depends on the employer just look around and see what places require and I would recommend applying anyway because they might take you
Hello Brianna I like your video. Hope you are able to do more videos like this. I wanted to ask how did you became a pharmacy technician? Did you started working at the hospital when you finish the pharmacy technician training?
Hi Maria, more videos like this are definitely going to come! I started in a retail pharmacy first then I transitioned to the hospital. I’m going to post a video of my journey coming soon make sure you’re subscribed so you don’t miss it :)
Yes, the pharmacy is 24 hours so there is 1st shift generally (6am-2pm) 2nd shift (2pm-10pm) And 3rd shift that can be 10 to 12 hour shifts depending on the hospital you work in but generally 8pm-6am or 7pm-7am which is what I did.
Third shift can be depending on the workflow or how full the hospital is. I have work buddies that make it fun and sometimes I end up on my phone watching Netflix or TH-cam
Hi! It depends on where you are looking for employment. Each hospital has their preference of who they hire but all/most hospitals will train you in the IV room if you have little to no experience

Hi new Subscriber here,, i just want to know what school you went? and how many yrs or months to get certificate for that position
I didn’t go to a formal university, I enrolled in a program called PTU (pharmacy technician and university) and it took me 3 months to get certified
A phone IN the hooood?!
lmaoo, it was sterilized and placed in a plastic baggy
Do you only have to put the PPE on when your doing IVs ? And do you always work in the IV room ?
Yes, PPE only when you are making IV’s and no, it depends on the shift I’m working. 1st and 2nd shift tends to have designated IV techs.
Do you sterilize your phone or camera before entering these clean rooms 😵💫😵💫
yes ma’am
Nice, I’m a Pharmacist
Do u guys do math in there
@@xxblackcrown6872 do you mean for pharmacy technician or for pharmacist ?
