Great vid! Did you have to tweak any of the settings at all, or did you just upscale the games? Could you also maybe elaborate on your experience emulating PS3? What’s the succes rate?
Only setting I change was the resolution. PS3 is hit and miss. Easier to emulate games will run great (RR7, GT HD, DOA) TLOU runs about 2-fps. Wouldn’t get this system for PS3 emulation but it is a nice perk for the games that run great.
There is a 2.5 inch version of the RX 560 4gb that you can buy for this pc, goes in the SSD slot so you have to use an NVME drive. They are 60 bucks on amazon right now
This computer works perfect with Batocera 37, Switch - Xbox360 - Psvita etc etc is very playable but... an important thing is to install 16 gigabytes of ram for the video card radeon vega 11 that with 8 gigabytes is not good !!
Check your system info, you may have the 2400GE its max clock is 3.6 with a TDP 35 watts. Also I’d check suggest applying new thermal paste. I did it to mine and it’s literally a 5min process. HP has a TH-cam video showing step by step how to replace everything inside the 705 G4.
@@wiggygfe I’d check the power supply make sure it’s 95 watts. Also apparently temps spikes to 90c when stressed is normal, 85 is fine at load and we’ll within spec for 2400G.
How do have your batocera set up? I have batocera loaded on a thumb drive and the roms on an internal sata ssd. Im on a 705 g5 3400g and even ps2 laggs crazy sometimes! I wasn't even planning to try ps3...
I would like to know the same thing. I have the exact same system and Game Cube games were laggy as all get out. I have since turned on performance hacks and have gone in with another video I saw on turning your and graphics or nvidia and that has helped with performance. I was able to run a lot of ps1 games and they were smooth. But would love to know how you have yours setup to play those high end systems. Please post would love to make the changes you did. It is a great pc I got mine from Amazon with 16gb ram just no SSD. It has a M.2 drive but I have it installed on a usb stick does pretty good. But again please give me your settings as I would love to play wii and Xbox 360. Thanks.
@masterchiefin21 I figured out my issue...I'm on a 3400ge not a g, which has a tiny bit less power (35 w vs 65w). Nevertheless, I had to tone ps2 down a little bit to run stable, i believe 1.5 -1.75x res? Everything else flies at full speed or above, including gc, wii, and wii u.
@@dkni0918 ok. Cool. Yeah I went in to the boot file of botacera and told it to activate my Radeon card. I also used performance hacks in the GameCube and it vastly improved performance. Ps1 games also ran better after turning the rendering to OpenGL. Haven’t tried ps2 or Dreamcast yet. But I am hoping they will work also. Thanks for the reply back. I have a HP EliteDesk 705 G4 Mini - AMD Ryzen 5 Pro 2400GE, 16GB DDR4, 256GB SSD and It plays BOTW on cemu all day with pretty much no strain. I didn’t stop playing it like that for a month lol and it was awesome. So the setup looks like this 30fps Mod enabled and resolution is 2nd to lowest in graphic packs, aspect 16:9, shadows are either low or medium can’t remember and I’m not sure what the temps have been I’ll check and maybe update this comment post. Now I’m experimenting with games on Ryu-Jinx and so far Cuphead and Super Mario Maker 2 runs flawlessly I disable it from dock mode and you see a slight improvement in overall gameplay and soon I’m going to give TOTK a shot with the 30fps patch mod. I love this little machine it’s my baby❤

This is encouraging to hear. I'm thinking about buying the exact same model, but then held back because I read that the GE gives too much of a performance drop from the G. Sounds like, from your experience, that's not the case - would that be fair to say?

Add the dedicated internal GPU AMD RX 560 part number L21472-002 for more graphics power for those that want to emulate newer consoles.

Found it. About a $200 upgrade for GPU and upgraded 150W power supply, very tempted.

Are the settings changed within batocera menu or do you change when in the game?

Nah, I guess you can easily play dota 2, fortnite or something similar on it in 1080

Does yours boost to 3.9ghz? I've just bought one, the max clock speed i see is 3.6ghz, gets pretty hot too, around 85 degrees when stress testing

I have mine setup on a 2TB external HDD plugged in to usb 3.0 port. I wasn’t even aware you could setup batocera across multiple drives.

Well mine goes black after batocera boots. And I’ve tried playing around with the bios, nothing works. 😑
Turn off secure boot in the bios. I had the same issue now mine boots in flawlessly every time.

Through PS1 it would be fine, but after that I'd imagine things start to fall apart.
