Das ist eine bezaubernde Idee , an dem Weihnachtsmann zu schreiben. ❤
Lasse den Kindern ihre Träume ❤❤❤

The name of the village Himmelpfort translates to Heaven's Gate, by the way. Himmelsthür is Heaven's Door. Other German Christmas Post Offices are in Engelskirchen (Angels' Churches), Himmelsberg (Heaven's Mountain), Himmelpforten (Heaven's Gates), Himmelstadt (Heaven Town), Himmelreich (Kingdom of Heaven), Nikolausdorf (Santa Claus village), St. Nikolaus (Santa Claus). Austria has the village of Christkindl (Christ Child).

Hi Mace, thank you for watching these two videos. I guess next year there will be more kids sending their letters to Santa. 😊 I hope you had a peaceful Christmas. Mine was very silent and reflective and I enjoyed a white Christmas not in Munich but in my second residence nearby Garmisch-Partenkirchen in the Bavarian Alps. Well, as there are only two days left I´d like to wish you by now a happy new year! 🍾 Best regards, Gernòò

A guy i used to work with, lived in a village near by called "St. Nikolaus" (near Freiburg, southwest germany). The Postoffice there had an actual adress for Kids to write to. PS: just saw another comment, mentioning this. Himmelsreich is near by too, btw, but also "Höllental", which is "hell-valley")

Actually, there are several post offices for Letters to Santa. The first clip was about Himmelspfort, Heaven‘s Gate, the second about Himmelsthür, Heaven‘s Door. Iirc there are two or three more in Germany alone.

PS: Wikipedia lists NINE Christmas / Santa Post Offices in Germany. In addition to those two: Engelskirchen (Angels‘ Church), Himmelsberg (Heaven‘s Mountain), Himmelpforten (another Heaven‘s Gate), Himmelstadt (Heaven‘s Town), Himmelreich (Heaven‘s Domain/Empire), Nikolausdorf (Santa Claus / Nicholas Village) and St. Nikolaus (…that one should be self-explanatory…)

The christmas angels helping Santa to answer the kids's wish lists are employed by Deutsche Post or hired as support during the season.
