Steve Rockets are usually used for scientific research, like putting a satellite in space, On the other hand, missiles are designed as weapons intending to hit and destroy specific targets, you asked, so i thought i would share, doubt most people would know the difference. I really enjoy your videos, thank you!
Missiles are guided weapons. Rocket weapons are unguided. The F-4U Corsair carried HVAR - High Velocity Aircraft Rockets. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_Velocity_Aircraft_Rocket
I have that plane and it’s a great little plane. I love those 800mm planes their compact enough to take in the car but big enough to handle a bit of wind. FMS makes a real good model.
So the A6M Zero is only my 3rd RC plane, and I must say, that even it's only a 400mm "parkflyer" it does fly really really good... I tried it out asap as it had been delivered, and after reading the manual to make sure trim on the rudder, ailerons etc were as they should be, and even though the maiden flight was only a couple of minutes as the winds were quite strong so I was afraid the gusts would snatch it and carry it towards the road, it did actually manage to go through towards the wind, with the 2 bladed prop on (there's 4 props in the kit, two which are 3 bladed) And even it's small, and drops fast downwind if throttle is too low, the wind was strong enough to let it glide towards me and I could catch it with my hand 😁
those " Four Hundos" are a BLAST! I started with : F4U, Bf109.SPIT .another Corsair ( was "Drilled into ground way Swell..For The pleasures " LOL). Peeps say Start BIG wingspan? i went opposite. Learn how not to crash the "Bigg'uns..with the cheaper toy grades. Now I'm up to: Couple of AeroScouts..and a 1.2 m FLITE test Hand Built SPITFIRE..Keep flyin on
I wish they would do the Robert Hampton aka Hammy Grey black white Livery of the Corsair. He was a Canadia F4U Corsair ACE Pilot. FMS had one a long time ago in the 800mm F4U Corsair. Gator RC has that Livery on their big Gasser that I have. It just looks awesome. I'm an American and I even know about that beast of a pilot. The enemy didn't stand a chance even though their planes were more maneuverable the guy had a high IQ and skills like no other.
Hey Steve FYI, no reflex available sold out, but say version 3 will be coming soon, so i will wait, will be my first plane i fly so taking your advice on getting reflex, i think that's what you called it. So I'll check back in a month and see if version 3 is available.
Yes, REFLEX in a plane is great for beginners. FMS usually has several RTF kits of different plane types and some may still have REFLEX. I know the RANGER RTF Kit that I reviewed last year that also came with floats to takeoff and land on water, had REFLEX and was a bargain for the price.
Well done Captain!; what a great looking RC !; (the Pilot looked pretty cool also!!) ; as an aside , the new beard is looking very 😎; hope you keep it !!!
better technology. It's amazing. I mean it cost less to do that than buying my nx8 plane and receiver. . Plus you don't have to worry about losing or damaging your $600 transmitter. Lol
Flying an FPV Quad is way more difficult then flying an RC plane. The only difference is the use of the right joystick. On a quad you move it forward to pitch the quad nose down & fly forward. On an RC plane, if you do that you pitch the plane nose down and thunder into the ground.
Remind Steve us ppl in Canada can't buy this RTF plane from FMS . For some reason Canadian government won't let them send the battery. RTF kits in the states yes
Yup these are rockets..before it was called missiles :) in world war 2 these were termed as rockets now they have the 2.75 Folding Fin Rockets (smaller versions)
They did have guided missiles in WW2. They were guided by Pigeons or remote control from the bombardier in the B-24 Liberator. I'm not joking look it up. You will laugh like crazy watching the Pigeon flying the Guided missile. They have great videos of it here on TH-cam.
Yes, but not every human has the same hand/eye coordination for flying RC planes. If you doubt your abilities in the slightest, then get the FMS Trainer: th-cam.com/video/nhclLOkxkpk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=uGT1mTC03kZiUcff
My dad was WWII Marine, and he said the Corsair saved his life. Nice video.
Awesome Steve great video! Like the Corsair a lot. 👍🏻
This is such a cool plane, I was thinking about buying it myself. Thank you for the amazing review! Keep up the good work!

What a lovely looking plane Steve, flies great too. 👍👍👍👍
Gorgeous RCmodel !
The corsair F4U4 Airfix plastic model kit was my first ever aircraft build. Remember BAA BAA BLACK SHEEP? The TV show ?😊
awsome review Captain, as always
I love that ra ta ta ta ta ta ta meeaaaaaaaaooooooo…always great video Steve. Been 4 years since i followed your channel, thanks for helping me in FPV
I’m still a “big kid” at heart so the sound effects come out.
This is a nice looking, basic, park flyer Corsair. Thanks ks for sharing it.
Fun video !😃
Great review of a cool plane Cap !!
😎

❤❤F4UCorsair❤❤ per me il più bello aereo della ww2!
Good review as always! 👍👍😀
ok i got the same exact plane today and im hyped to try it out thanks for posting this !
Hope you enjoy it!
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 it’s my first plane with gyro stabilization this is awesome . Gonna add a caddx vista in that cockpit
Next fpv it! 🎉
I have that model. I put a 3s in it. It came alive and didnt burn up. Ive used the 3s on a few flights now and its holding up.
@@dradden1556 my esc cuts out on 3s
@@jeffmanny8246 yeah I've heard some cut out, some don't. I think it depends on the who programed the ESC at the factory.
Instead of using the transmitter it comes with, can I use a spektrum transmitter? (Specifically the DX6e) ?
I think you’d also have to install a Spektrum receiver.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 oh alright :/
Can I get this plan in Australia
Always. Great review

Very cool!
Nice RC plane and good review Steve
Very nice one

Looks kinda cool Steve. I think I want to get it.
Well done Captain!; what a great looking RC !; (the Pilot looked pretty cool also!!) ; as an aside , the new beard is looking very 😎; hope you keep it !!!
Thanks! The beard comes and goes as the months progress. Soon it will disappear for the warmer months, but will return for the colder months.
Nice little plane for the park. What do you use to attach the Insta360 Go to the plane?
I use 3M double sided tape
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Thanks I just bought the Insta 360 Go 3. My heli has finally shipped too took rc going 6 days to ship
Hi Steve you gonna be flying in the eclipse later on today ?
Yes
Should be DA DA DA 😊
Really hope they do the rtf spitfire
I like your leather jacket Steve.
Thanks!
I'm hopefully getting my Warbird tomorrow, which is an Volantex RC A6M Zero 400mm 🙂🤞
That is cool. The RTF models are getting bigger and bigger with bett

I've always loved Corsairs...ever since Black Sheep Squadron as a kid. Does flying an RC plane translate in any way to flying a Quad in Acro Mode?
Quads in acro are much harder imo.
@@roadstar499 Good to know, thanks!

So I’m a bit late to the party lol but wanted to know if the rtf version comes with a charger for the battery?
Should’ve just waited till later in the video, my bad 😅 God bless and thanks for the video!!!
Even the pilot in that Bird looks like you??? 😂 Enjoy the day my flying brother
😁 We are a handsome crew indeed :-)

How did you attached a camera to your corsair?
Double sided tape of course

This is the best FMS mini warbird. I've had so many great flights with mine.
These 800 fms planes are designed well and very repairable imo...but of coarse i have lots of experience repairing foam planes.
It says on both Lincs w/o reflex, where do you find this RTF with reflex?
It appears FMS has removed the REFLEX versions because they wanted to keep the price at $199.
Great-looking plane, and another terrific review, thanks Cap'n! Enjoy the eclipse, we're looking forward to totality here in Brockville 😎
It should have machine sound effect speakers built-in for strafing people. 😁
Tat Tat Tat Tat… my machine gun sound.
nice video, keep it up
Thanks for the visit
It's a shame that the gyro isn't included as standard, but you can fly it if you install it separately.
I agree that any plane that is RTF should come with a gyro. I’ve mentioned this to FMS many times.
Those might be torpedoes. I know they deployed them from Corsairs in the pacific theater during WWII.
No, that is unguided rocket's. Torpedoes are MUCH bigger, so those planes could only carry one torpedo under the middle of the plane.
Good evening captain really nice plane great detail cool set up
Thank you so much for the high praise! Also, you look quite dapper in our gears! 🔥🔥
