How many days or hours does each episode take to make the 3500 frames?? How many artists? OMG this is a lot of work. I am so blessed to have grown up watching SM
Yes but also no, there could be 5 Key Animators for an episode, sometimes 10 with 4 Animation Directors, sometimes an entire outsourced studio ect ect, it all depends on the situation. There's a couple of Crystal's episode in Season 1 and 2 where it was 5 Key animators (any of the episodes where Akira Takahashi was the Animation Director), I hear there's a Precure episode that had an entire episode done by one Key Animator! But I get what you mean: a lot goes into the Animation Production Pipeline and everyone involved is important that it's definitely not just 5 nobodies. But not all these people featured in the video are considered animators. As in; they won't show up under the Key Animation credits but for something else.
I can imagine how hard might be as an animator, nowadays we can animate digitally, animating isnt easy of course but imagine if we still didnt had animation apps and have to animate like that, to much work to do, still awesome tho XD
