    Just a thought from a tractor (semi) mechanic, I would honestly run the stacks to at least 13'6". That is standard trailer height and you want the exhaust smoke to come out over the top of the trailer, not build up in front of it, otherwise it might end up turning the front of your trailers black from the soot.

    great job mate well done! if i was you i would have put some seafoam in the diesel tank and in the oil before the oil change. I recommend you to do that in the next oil change as this one is new. I do that in all of my cars 500 miles before the oil change. In such old engine is the best you can do and you will clean the entire engine. Also as you stripped down a lot of engine parts clean some rust covers here and there it's a good oportunity as you have plenty of space there now. Really enjoy your videos keep up the good work bro!

    • @Enakaji
      @Enakaji 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I do the same on my older cars where I'm not sure about the oil change history. As one example, I own a 96 Mitsubishi Sigma Station Wagon with the 6G72 SOHC V6 with 230000 miles on the clock and the lifters had that typical tick that they develop when they start to get clogged and aren't getting enough oil. So, as a last try before spending the money and swapping all of them I added some seafoam to the oil before the last oilchange and it really did quiten them down. Also the engine is now running way smoother than before.

      I was thinking the same. Clean up what's left and paint it. This has gone far farther than I thought it would. Initially it looked like a POS. But so long as the engine and trans are OK, seems like most everything else is being replaced.

      Maybe, but if that's the case why does hazmat and the environmentals make such a big stink when diesel gets spilled after a vehicle accident and gas as well and gas evaporates quicker?

      Impact sockets are for impact tools, which an air ratchet is not. I tend not to worry about it when I have to use a non-impact socket on an impact tool, because when that happens I'm using a cheap POS socket anyway.

    When you put Jake boxes on that big cam don't let anyone who drives it run the Jake breaks to high on the rpms a Cummins will stretch the head bolts and you'll blow head gaskets that's why fleet trucks didn't have Jake's on a Cummins if you blow a gasket you haft to deck the block and that's expensive
