Tatum is not a dumb character. She’s actually one of the smarter ones from Scream. The whole cat door was her ONLY chance for escape. The door yo the house wouldn’t open. Honestly, the mayor from Jaws doesn't know he is in a horror film. One victim to him is not enough to risk the business of the small town that lives of turist season. He does tell the guys to "do whatever you need to keep the beaches safe", he made a logic call based on the information at hand.
@Scott M Aussies "shark proof" their beaches all the time, it's called a lifeguard and an alarm. See a shark to close to the beach, call everyone out of the water. Sharks don't usually attack people on random, they have bad eyesight, they get close when they hear loud sounds or detect movement they don't understand. People who say they have survived an "attack" weren't usually attacked, the shark take a bite out of what they are curious about. If it's a human, they usually swim away since we are not part of their regular diet. (we just die of unfortunate bloodloss) A shark has to be starved to want to eat a human. Regardless of what movies has been telling us for years, sharks are not that bad. I haven't seen the sequel so I have nothing to add there.

Addison Corday in Saw 2 was suffering from the effects of a deadly nerve agent. Research the side effects of nerve agents. They include.... Impaired judgement, fatigue, memory loss, etc. It wasn't thst she was stupid.
*The kid in the beginning of "A Quiet Place?"*
Me As An Imperial Commando Would Be Scary
You'd Better Run
He was too young to understand the danger.
Not the kid bro! The girl that gave to him the toy, he was her to gave him the toy
Jim B. The parents walked off a left the small child walk way behind them knowing he wanted a loud toy
@@Locadel2003 She gave him the toy after their dad took the batteries out. The kid could've had fun without the batteries, but he took them anyway.
Whoever put Randy on this list is crazy. He’s a SMART horror character. Even his niece in the 2022 and 2023 movie
I only love the honorable mention of GREMLINS on here!
I was about to obliterate y’all for not including Blair from “Unfriended” or the kids from “The Vist”...but then I remembered you said it had to be from a SCARY movie...so actually nice job for keeping them off this list
That bastard from jaws was in jaws 2 too. God dammit. And was more stupid than the first
I LOVE Mayor Vaughan's inclusion!!! Hell he was just as big an antagonist as the shark itself!!!
Billy Peltzer wasn't dumb. His clock malfunctioned.
He was dumb because he left water near his mogwai which caused gremlins and meant there was enough of them to eat through his cable
@@cannibalbunnygirl Yeah. Cuz he could instantly see the future and see Corey Feldman accidentally spilling water on Gizmo and then instantly know the mogwai were evil and would purposely chew up the cord. These little critters came out of Gizmo who is the sweetest little furball we've seen. How tf would Billy know they'd be evil? Sure they were a little rude and obnoxious before they were gremlins, but they were literally born not too long before they changed. Billy probably assumed that they were acting like little kids. If you want someone to blame in that movie, blame Billy's dad cuz he's the one who bought Gizmo in the first place after the old man said he couldn't.
now you’re talking my language I am a huge fan of horror movies
Really? I couldn't tell. I am as well, mainly older horror movies, a majority of new horror movies suck in my opinion.
To be fair, Addison was suffering from the effects of the nerve gas she was exposed to and wasn’t thinking clearly. She also didn’t have a tape player to play the message.
No she did, it was in the envelop, she opened but she ignored it
In defense of the Freelings from Poltergeist, they didn’t discover their house was built on a cemetery until much later in the film. And even though they spent a final night in the house, as far as they knew they thought it was clean and free of spirits, so I don’t think we can really blame them.
The best horror film characters react the way someone would in real life. Makes it
more plausible and scarier.
Tatum is not a dumb character. She’s actually one of the smarter ones from Scream. The whole cat door was her ONLY chance for escape. The door yo the house wouldn’t open. And the garage door would have taken too long to create an opening for her. Plus she did the second most dmg to him with only Sydney passing her.
But everyone knows that there's no way you can escape through a cat door
@@IslaRoseAtkinson Actually, Rose McGowan could have. They had to pin her sweater to the door to make it look like she couldn’t fit. She actually could fit through it pretty easily.
I thought the whole point of Randy's character is that he's a deliberately SMART character in a horror film?
War Machine after watching each entry: "So he's an idiot"
#1 - anyone in Alien: Covenant
In Poltergeist (1982), Steve didn't know the houses were built on a cemetery UNTIL AFTER Carol Anne was taken and the strange things happen!
Make up your mind. Paranormal Activity is either 2007 or 2009
I found Micah to be particularly enraging, personally.
Don from 28 Weeks Later, sneaks into quarantine to see his infected wife. What does he do? He kisses her and becomes infected himself!
Spoiler.......
He saw what happened to her. It would be obvious that she was infected. Thus kissing her is incredibly stupid
I guess guilt and happy to see you made him not think. Also the military should have made her unaccesble to him without a military escort.
They should’ve listened to the one soldier who knew not to repopulate the city
well, to our surprise, a lot of people are just that stupid
Helen was actually pretty smart, she almost escaped, only did one stupid thing. Should she really be on the list
Then again she did turn around
The Mayor in Jaws, in the book before the film, was also bribed by the mob to keep the beaches open during the shark attacks.
”Whatever You Do, Do Not Go In There”
*Olivia?* 😂😂
I think Addison from Saw was fine just because she was drugged out of her mind and going crazy. All the characters were. She wasn’t thinking :|
4:30 When he said "Show Yourself", I hear Idina Menzel singing Elsa's song. xD
You could've just said "All huamn protagonists from Promethius and Alien Covenant"
The family from 28 Weeks Later caused the end of all human life in continental Europe.
It was mainly the father's fault
Mayor in 2016’s Ghostbusters; “Do not compare me to the mayor in Jaws!”
Oh come on you can't put Randy on the list . Who can blame him for yelling at ghost face . He survived one killing spree so you can't blame him for being pissed about dealing with this again
How dare they put Tatum in this video?! She thought the killer was role playing, you know, not the killer? Also the garage door thing could be explained by adrenaline, the will to live, fear, and panic. She seen a door and she took it!
Paxton was not stupid imo. He just cared too much about his friends. A stupid person could not have made that escape
I saw how Micah really died. I believe it was the Marked Ones, that he was stabbed to death until he was pushed into the camera
Billy ain't dumb he wasn't paying attention that his clock wasn't incorrect
After watching Paranormal Activity for the first time, Micah wasn’t that bright through the whole movie. I can see why it’s been parodied
If a horror movie has no dumb decision there is no movie at all...
The family in Poltergeist weren’t thinking clearly.
PS: why did they use real people skeletons in the movie? That’s just creepy
#4
In her defense, she wasn't in the best state of mind.
Every character in Final Destination once they learn of the pattern: figure whose next, lock him or her in a padded room, the other Scoobies can try to figure something out. This is even more egregious because everyone else will be immortal.
In all fairness the creeper was only helping Mario enter level 1-2.
Or it was probably one of those secret pipes that let you skip a couple of worlds. God I wish that was the case. 😂😂😂😂😂
@@ajchapman5261 LMAO 🤣 🤣
Randy was my favorite character in Scream and he just got killed off like that I-and no, I don't think he's dumb, I always thought of him as one of the smartest in that series.
Ok, they may have been dumb, by the mom (or whoever it was, I can’t remember) having a field day watching the ghosts move the chairs was funny. X3
regarding Poltergeist- they didn't 'just move into' the house, they lived there for at least 3 years & didn't know it was built on a burial ground.... and they WERE moving out as soon as they got their daughter back- watch it again
Too bad Cindy and Brenda couldn't qualify in this list
House of Wax - the guy who, after being chased by a maniac driver, gets into a ghost town, sees human looking figures in a dark depot building and goes in. How am I supposed to worry about you after such a lack of survival instinct?
I like Rebecca's voice very calming
Liz from Wolf Creek should have made the list, she managed to injure and knock out the main killer and had the chance to finish him off by shooting him while he was down, but chose not to and ended up paying for it in a major way.
The razor box is not the simplest in the Saw franchise. the simplest one is the needle test in Jigsaw 2017
I never thought I'd live to see the day that a content farm would post something relatable.
ITS like all the character never watch horror movie or even top 10 how to survive horror situation
They're not stupid. They just panic under pressure.
Simple list maker needs to watch more horror films.
Helen wasn't stupid. See how well you fare running from a teleporting fisherman.
And shame on you for mentioning Tatum and Randy. They were reacting to out of control situations and Tatum fought like the badass she was.
The Drew Barrymore character from Scream should have been #1 on this list. I dunno seems like Mojo Top Ten dropped the ball by not even listing her on the Honorable mentions list. 🤔🙄
