    Your videos are awesome! I appreciate that you took the time to make so many and go so in depth. Odd question, but where do you get the uniforms / gis you wear?

    • @AndrewPlitt
      @AndrewPlitt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So glad to hear that you are enjoying these videos! I ordered by uniforms mostly from tigerclaw.com, although the training pants from wle.com tend to last longer, in my experience. Wishing you all the best in your training.

    Great channel. Maybe it's just me but there seems to be no audio on these basics videos.

    • @AndrewPlitt
      @AndrewPlitt  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Shane, it has something to do with how the audio was recorded and the settings on your computer. I have heard something similar from a small percentage of viewers. Some of them have shared that they were able to fix it by changing some setting on their device. I am not sure what they did to make the audio work for them, though. I am also not sure why this happens for some people and not others. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    You're videos have been extremely helpful, I especially appreciate the way you broke this series down into basic stepping patterns. Have you considered doing a video that consolidates all 6 of the movement patterns in this series into a short flow practice that could be used to practice the movements in succession w/ some basic guidelines as you go along? Also did you ever release a dvd?

    • @AndrewPlitt
      @AndrewPlitt  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm glad to hear they have been so helpful for you. :) When I was teaching I would typically move a student from the basic steps to the Yang style 24 form or the Yang style 8 Form because they combines all of the stepping patterns and are short enough that learning them doesn't seem as daunting as learning the longer forms. The basic stepping patterns are really to prepare people for learning the movements of the forms. It's typically easier to learn where your hands are supposed to go after your feet are at least somewhat familiar with what they are supposed to be doing. All that to say, I have not consolidated all of the stepping patterns into a footwork form, but it does sound like a fun option and I'm sure, once someone has all of the basic steps down, that they could easily turn them into a free flowing footwork exercise.
      I was working on turning my Yang 24 Form series into a DVD last summer, but I was not happy with the quality of the videos, especially when they are displayed on a larger screen. Producing a DVD with such poor image quality didn't seem right, so I shelved that project. I was hoping to make all of the TH-cam videos available on DVD for people who had limited internet access, but it looks like I'm actually going to have to remake most of them with better filming equipment before I can pursue that goal. Again a long winded answer to say, I don't have any DVD's available at this time. It's a goal of mine, but to be realistic it probably won't happen for several years.
      Thank you for your questions. I wish you all the best in your training. :)

      @@AndrewPlitt Thanks so much for taking the time for such a thoughtful and detailed response Andrew! You are a truly gifted teacher and your videos really helped me see the subtle details of the various movements and especially the transitions (which for me were the most difficult thing to learn).

      This is just superb, been searching for "qigong seated exercises" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Penmma Acclaimed Principality - (search on google )?
      It is an awesome one of a kind product for discovering how to boost your chi energy without the headache. Ive heard some super things about it and my m8 got great results with it.

      One of my favorite things in life is spontaneous irony--as opposed the literary vehicle to impart a deeper meaning through a mixture of humor and unintended consequences. Your post is one of the most ironic things I've seen in a long time. Something brought you here---I'm not necessarily saying to Mr. Plitt specifically--nobody's talking fate, but you came here to learn about this, right? This fellow knows what he's doing. Since you seem so into feedback--I thought I'd return the favor.
