Clash 200 EFI video of it revving up by itself. I did adjust the air screw but did not help.

Check the routing of the throttle cable. It seems to be doing it after letting off the throttle. This is a good indication that the throttle cable is sticking either through poor routing or being caught up of something that wont let it fully release down to idle. On some machines you can throttle back to check if this is the case.

Check Valve clearance. Clearance might be too tight from the factory.

Probably the efi adjusting the idle after the clutch disengages. Once it releases it revs up then the efi says to high then it goes low the back up to where it's supposed to be. My guess is it's normal.

Smh. You don't need to work on scooters if you don't know what this is. The bike is downshifting automatically cuz its an automatic transmission. If its jerking while downshifting, change the gear oil. Prolly got bad oil in your gearbox but based of this i can tell you its normal and nothing to worry about. I barely noticed anything when you said it was revving on its own. It wasn't revving on its own, just slowly going back to idle because its downshifting gears.

I think its because of the cvt's centrifugal clutch on the rear cvt pulley still engaging after you let go of the throttle. That's why it doesn't immediately go idle.

I also did not mention it will rev up by itself when you are not moving stationary and when you rev it it will repeat and rev again by itself! Also I am having random stall outs when revving it and when ridding it and coming to a stop it will sometimes stall. If I take off fast and then slow down quickly it will stall out. And it’s not the cvt which I’m aware it would hold the rpm before the cvt is about to disengage that’s not my issue my issue is the revving up by itself after blipping the throttle not moving, and also when I’m slowing down coming to a stop!

@@anthonyrossi3869 or could it be that the idle speed controller on the throttle body might be malfunctioning? A quick isc diassembly and then checking and cleaning the valve shaft and the spring might help. The valve shaft could be worn out or the spring being weak causing the valve to move by itself. Honda vario/click which this bike is based on has that isc problem sometimes.

@@TheAce78 good information! I just got the bike 4 weeks ago brand new! It uses a Gy6 throttle body. I’m not sure how to go about and fixing the valve shaft if it is a occurring problem? Can the valve shaft wear out being brand new? The throttle spring has good resistance and snaps right back into position! If you mean the buttery-fly valve? If it is the throttle body causing the problem would my issue be related to my problem. when I rev up the bike it will rev up by itself Sometimes a few times before going to idle. Also it seems when I rev it the bike revs back up it could be keeping it’s self from stalling and the times we’re it does not rev up by itself it stalls out! It almost seems like it needs a ECU tune which I heard you can’t adjust the factory tune which someone else is having the same problem as me. Any ideas would be advised!

@@gomezjessica2023 thank you! I will make sure it’s tighten down. Also I had to adjust the throttle body air screw in a half a turn with a Allen wrench and now it will open up without without hesitating. Do you still have the revving up a few times by itself and random stall outs after you tighten down the fuel pump. it’s located on top off the gas tank which would make sense. How many miles do you have on your clash? How is it running! I currently have 740 miles on mine and haven’t had any issues. I’m running Lucas 10w40. Simi synthetic oil. No belt issues with the stock belt. It will sometimes stall out when I first start it and when it’s cold and I rev it might stall out. when it’s hot it might stall but it’s unlikely since it will sometimes do it when it’s hot and will start right back up. I mean it’s a cheaper EFI system and I’m not expecting Honda quality with a perfect ECU that can tune it precisely without messing up if you have similar issues I would not worry about that but would be nice to fix if it. If the fuel pump is not tighten properly what was your issues and when you fixed it, are you still having the same problem which mine sounds like a good working fuel pump. Let me know if I’m missing something else! Thanks for your reply!

The mechanic told me it’s the ECU causing it to rev itself up because the ECU is making the bike run rich because it’s out of tune my 150cc carbureted scooter does not rev up by itself

    • @anthonyrossi3869

It’s not the cvt that’s Different, the cvt it holds the rev when slowing down. It will rev up at a stop not moving with a slight twist of the throttle it will rev up to 3 thousand rpm and down by itself which the cvt is not engaged.

@@LoraxOfLiberty yes It’s not running to rich or lean! The ECU tunes itself so no adjustments can be made. According to the manual. I don’t understand why its revving up after revving it? It some times stalls out if you rev it or when you come to a stop. It seems like it’s trying to keep itself from stalling? I don’t know what adjustment it needs. The air screw which turning it in would make it run rich constricting the air Turing it back would give it more air which makes it worse turning it in makes the revs go down faster but still revs up after throttle?

Another guy told me he’s having the same problem too! and it seems like it’s normal! Since it’s a Chinese bike! But the bike will randomly stall out after ridding slow when the engine is warming up and when warm it will sometimes stall out. I think there’s a way to tune the ECU but I’m unsure how to do it and what I would need to get and do to fix that little quirk. But it seems fine besides it trying to rev up by itself, and rev up at a stop and same thing while it’s about to come to a stop and the bike will jerk forward! let me know if you do something about it or just ride it as is! I’m not sure what I should do? I did adjust the air screw when I was talking to the manufacture and the air screw adjustment did not help that much! When you turn it in your constricting the air turning it out your giving it more air which giving it more makes the problem worse. So you would think turning it in would fix it but it does not! But turning it in will sorta help it but will still rev and will stall out much easily! it will still rev 1 or 2 times sometimes 3 before a stop! 1 being a big rev 2 a little rev and 3 a very little rev! When I was riding I noticed it will hold a rev then rev up by itself, and sometimes it dips then goes up so it seems to need some sort of Dino tuner but those cost a lot! And it will stall out if you sit there revving! but when it stalls out it starts right up! My mileage gauge says I have 303 miles but my gps says I have 250 miles! Reason for that is it uses an old mechanical cable with a spring the spins on the wheel. And the mph is ahead 3 to 5 mph, 3mph when your ridding 20mph on the bike you will be going on gps 17mph. When your going 40mph on the bikes reading, you are really going 35 mph. So it seems like at time the mileage gauge is reading half accurate and not even close at times depending on how fast you ride. Very optimistic but that’s what you expect on a Chinese bike! Let me know if you try to tune your ECU!
