$120K - so yours may a bit farther off than you had originally thought. I have a 1999 911 996 Cab and I absolutely love the car. I can't imagine how much better these new 911's are. Mine as a paltry 305HP (380 on the 2009) but there are few things I enjoy more than dropping the top and hitting the back roads and hearing the awesome sound of that flat 6.
Porsche's give me a special feeling. This one is no exception.
Im renting one in 2 days time. Looking forward to it.
Porsche,Ferrari,Lamborghini and Saleen sport cars are so shiny and bright cars and really powerful.
so the suspension is not adjustable like the abc of mercedes etc? no different modes? it's a must for all high end cars to have advanced suspensions especially in 09.

yeah, it is adjustable but the whole car is quite stiff. you get the porsche active managment system which automatically adjust, check the porsche web site out it you want to know more.
this is the 911 i would go for, o-60 4.2 is as quick as a gallardo, the only problem is that in the uk it cost about £90,000, si you might as well get a jag xkr
is it possible to control the rear spoiler to keep it up or down all the time?
what are those pimples at the Porsche's back, left and right of the license plate? (visible at 1:48 ) I've never seen them on European Carreras
drove in one last night, this car is supremely fast, nimble, and sporty, if i had the dough id get one for sure. Besides chicks love porsche's!
i really hate that numberplate housing, i know it tries to fit the US plate in but why can't they just simply bolt it on instead of having a hugh lump that looks like it's about to have a barrier to fit on top?
on #4: you missed the Targa. I've dreamt about having one of them since I got a maroon targa model for christmas when I was 7. Maybe I'll get a real one someday...
it doen't have at least not the 2009 version what im hoping to see in a couple of years is the 3.8 litter turbo

FAIR REVIEW:
LOOKS - As usual great on character, but if u really think about other brands, the 911 doesnt look sexy or good, just got its own look + character which owners love to death.
Performance - Very good, considering its a soft top. but i just dont like the engine in the boot.
Of course its too expensive
96K... they've managed to get rid of the gas tax but that porsche tax is not joke $96K for a two seater... not for my lifestyle. good car I wonder about the suspension though.

$96,000 base price tag is very cheap for a Carrera S, in our country this sells for 270,000USD.....
how can they say the console shifter is counter intuitive? that's just wacked.
Forward to upshift and backward to downshift is the universal standard.
can't beat having torque up top when you actually want to go fast...
250 ft-lbs staying around until 8000rpm is better for performance than 350ft-lbs falling into oblivion at 5000rpm. Physics my friend.

holy shit this thing is faster that alot of supercars obviously with a few exceptions but this thing is hot LOL i want to see this compared to audi r8 v10 and and bmw m6
a10 BMWs are unreliable.
i know is the same at least for all the carrera i doubt it but maybe a turbo is different is suposed to be more confy

the Gn 3.8 only had 1 turbo.
no doubt this is a beautiful car...but i like the way they like every production car company, copied the bmw. The PDK is all copied technology from the BMW Double Clutch Transmission.(DCT) Amazing car though well done

Porsche invented double clutch and used it in racing since 1984. do some research before you start spreading lies. besides , the first car maker who used double clutch on road cars was Audi.
why Porsche has like 17 different 911's at the same time is ridiculus
they only need like 3, a base 2 wheel drive model, a turbo model with all the bells and whistles, and a focus model the gt3...
And i´ve seen cars that do double the time to 60mp/h .... so what?

porsche claims to one day completely get rid of the manual gearbox. that's such a shame, pdk's, smg's, dsg's, w/e you wanna call them are for idiots who don't know what a clutch is, and porsche should learn that they can't kill the proper manual.
