Can you show off a stereo radio? Where in Japan are you? You have an awesome collection. This is a nice dual Japan-International FM radio.

@@アスパラトマト-p6u, Sony's are awesome! I have one classic Sony, one CCrane, and four radios from Chinese brands (that are Shortwave capable).

Was that an English language lesson around 700 kHz?

Where exactly were those FM broadcasts above 95 MHz coming from? Does Japan have FM broadcasting above 95 MHz? I thought the former Japan only FM band was 76-90 MHz and then after the analog TV shutoff, it was upgraded to 76-95 MHz.

      Thank you for your comment.
Due to the phenomenon caused by the circuit configuration of the radio itself, it is possible to listen to japanese broadcasts even at 95 MHz or higher.
Since many electronic components are packed in to a very small housing, internal transmission may occur depending on the placement of electronic components and the structure of the inner shield.
However, it may not apply to other receivers and portable radios.

@May_happiness_come_to_you_777 , may I ask where in Japan you are? I assume different atmospheric phenomenons exist in different parts of the country. Are there FM stations above 95 MHz in Japan these days?

I live in Tokyo, but due to the sporadic E phenomenom, I can only receive FM broadcasts from Chinese and Korean stations during the summer.
Currently there are no stations above 95 MHz in japan, but I believe that using an external antenna increases the gain and picks up unwanted signals inside the radio.

@@May_happiness_come_to_you_777, that's very interesting. I assume the FM broadcasts are similar to how they are here in the USA. I would think that Tokyo would be too far from China or the Korean peninsula to pickup broadcasts from either of those areas. Anyways, I like your collection! Do you own a car? Perhaps you could show us your car radio sometime. I hope to visit Japan someday.
