My thoughts on the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra after a couple of years. We might not be getting the latest and greatest AI features, but the phone is still excellent, especially if you can pick one up for sub-$500.

I have no plans to replace my S22 Ultra anytime soon - I don't think I'm missing anything not getting the AI upgrades. Probably won't replace it for at least a couple more years.

@@LightYagami-zr2prI recently had it and no the battery lire is not thé best and it charged fastly in 2h and 1h Witherspoon 45watt charging it can do 10h With me and I dont think than it is a big problème Iam à games crash of crash cod mobile genshin impact and zéro problem of lag even I reach 5%

Sold my 1 year old s22u and got a new s23u for less than 250$ . One of the best decisions I've made . Vastly superior battery , less heating and better performance.
Recently bought this phone to go along with my 13 pro max. All set for another 3+ years.
I agree 💯 the S22U has only gotten better since a14 I remember when I 1st noticed the difference in battery life I was like wait I still have 40% left something’s wrong lol kept getting that battery life till now I can’t be happier ❤ my S22U again.

I have the note 10 plus and after 5 years it's still a good fun. Pictures are great battery life isn't great but it lasts about 7 or 8 hrs which for 5 years old is good. The only problem is no more software updates or security patches but not really a problem to be honest.
Is s22 ultra still holding up with out lag and stutters!!!.. just plannning to buy s24 or 25 later...wanted to ensure the SD chip performance
I have this phone, Snapdragon version. But I recently bought S23U after I heard it may not take the AI features (the price gap between the S23U and S24U didn't justify what they give to me so I got the S23U) and my mother's Z Flip 3 broke so I'll give this one to her. It's still a great device. I just didn't wanna miss out on the AI thing lol. But hopefully this phone also takes the features. It's only 2 yrs old.

The sticker feature is fun in camera but yes the update came and it's all good now and battery is better then yesterday.

I saw they are reviewing the options on AI. Have you seen anything on that? I have a feeling they will give us some eventually to make customers happy. Plus saying that helps sell the s24. I could be wrong lmk what you think.

Personally, I find it abnormal that the S22 range doesn't have the AI features, while the S23 FE which shares the same processor as them and is supposed to be a range below them has these Ai features 🤷🏽♂️
S22U will be getting the Ai features in the One UI 6.1 update within the next 2 weeks! Will be getting all the Ai features except the Slo-mo video.

Just got this phone coming from s20 ultra this phone is waaay superior its actually underrated
Just bought one as my Note 20 Ultra overheated and fried the board on the phone. I'm excited but also worried as I've heard the battery isn't that good and I am not a fan of needing to buy the most expensive one because they don't have the micro sd card slot anymore which was a massive help as I've got a ton of stuff on my phone. I'll have to see when I get it.
It's a very nice phone It still feels like a current flagship it was just built so right about the battery life. It did improve significantly since Android 14. Congrats! I hope you enjoy your new phone.

I'm about to upgrade my s21 ultra for the s22 ultra I'm just hoping it's worth it. The s21 ultra has one of the most beautiful screens. So I'll see if the 22 impresses me like the 21 did. I enjoyed its usage while I had it.❤

@@kaji6936 Amazon. I bought the 512gb green. And I'm impressed. I like it just as much as I liked my 21. The screen is beautiful and it works great. If I didn't know I bought it excellent refurbished I'd think it was new. Its worth the money for me,and I can keep it for awhile without worrying about upgrading.
Well I just got me an s22 ultra green color with a big whopping 1TB Storage Memory on it. Looks so good as if it looks new
To me. I like it. I were able to update it to the latest One UI 6.0 Android 14. It only had to do to software updates on it from Security Patch level March 1, 2024 to the Security Patch level April 1, 2024. It works so good to me. It’s a manufactured refurbished one, it’s unlocked to work with any carrier. Costed less than 800 dollars. I purchased it with a retailer credit card from a 3rd party seller on the retailer website. The battery life to me seems to be good to me.

I loved my note 9! It broke along the curve but it was my favorite phone. I had the edge 7 and it also broke along the curve. Fingers crossed for this one!
I have the note 10 plus and it's still a great phone. It still lasts a good 8 or 9 hrs. That's for heavy usage as well.

The batterie is not thé best but im à games and thé battery lire With my s22u is 10h Witherspoon game without gaming it could réach more time sorry for my english and I can say you go Take it bro it is a good Phone With no super charge charger Im charging it in 2h 100% but it is compatible with 45watt surper charge in 1h or less than 1h you can have 100% of battery and go for an other 10h
S22u is way better than the s20u ... especially the cameras and display ....I still use my S20u sometimes but the s22u is definitely much better ...it is almost as good as the s23 u in every respect....
The 888 and the 8 Gen 1 suffering thermal issues was mainly Samsung's fault. They fabricated both chips on their poor 5NM and 4NM process. This is what caused the thermal issues. If both chips were fabricated by TSMC, they would have been much better.

Recently switched from an A54 to an S22 Ultra and I gotta say, it's absolutely incredible. Loving almost every aspect of this phone!
Still does what it need to do so i won't be switching for atleast another 5 years. Really wait till i have to upgrade rather than want to

Just ordered one refurbished, happy to hear it still holds up. Would rather have 90% of the features for $500-600 than all of them for like $1300.
I got the s22u but it got repaired for like 3 times now because the speakers are crackling but i will go for the s24 ultra in about a week and i really did not like the s22 ultra because the problems i had with this 22ultra

I still got the S10 plus and not one problem besides battery to this day I still get a full day with light use S10+ mind you
I liked the S10+ a lot, for some reason, the last few times I went back to it I noticed some performance hiccups, but could just be mine.

I loved the phone. But the battery was the issue with it. So had it replaced with Huawei mate 20. 5 yrs and still good

Have s22 ultra 12 gb 256 from 2 years now. I'm happy with it even if it exynos.. it has upgraded well and it's ok. Before i had an s10 and it has been a good update. Exept don't expect the x100 zoom gives quality pictures and night pictures are not so great. But overall a great phone that compared to what is offering the market now: it is not worth the upgrade for another 2 years.
How the heck could anyone feel hindered when older stuff has more features and processing is about the same for older flagship. Sure if you want 120hz. Trick is use all 60hz so it all feels the same lol
I've never owned an Ultra and was thinking of getting one of these, as it's reasonably cheap now.
It’s an amazing phone the battery life has seriously improved since A14 it still has 3 years of updates, I’d say go for it you’ll love it!!!

I regret getting rid of this phone. I got it at launch and then traded it in a few days later because the size was too big. But now on the iPhone 15 pro max. When I trade (as I do yearly) I’ll pry go back to galaxy. I never stay on one more than a year and I should pry start.

@@StevealiciousTech I am aware of the videos date, thank you. I am also aware that Samsung has in the past, done things like upgrade devices which had already been discontinued, see the Samsung Galaxy J4 (2018), which started with android 8, android 9 in 2019, and android 10 in 2020.
This device was already discontinued, and no longer available on the Samsung web store, but it still got the updates.

@@milodemoray sure, but AI is a little different, plus the company had said it wasn’t getting it. You have to report what’s there. Sometimes they update things, sometimes they don’t after, but you can’t count on it.

Guys, I bought it from uae. During the festival, the Samsung online shop app had some great offers for first order and for my bank card. Then I have used some reward points too. I had to pay like only $ 670 for the new phone after all the discounts.

The battery made me upgrade to the s24 ultra. Wasn't as bad as what people made it out to be, but im glad i upgraded because the S24 Ultra is a beast with its battery.
I miss the 10 x zoom - 10 x digital is not as good on the S24 Ultra. Apart from that, with a great trade in value form Samsung, no regrets upgrading....

I ageee The 10x is the best camera in s22u and s23 u ....no other phone in 2024 has it ... although the x100pro just does a slightly better job with its 4.3 x telephoto and even slightly beats the s23u upto the 30x range

Samsung announced it was not. Now they say it "might" get features. Not assured. The company announced they are reviewing it.

I only upgrade only a few occasions. The device is 5 years +. Constant Technical & Problematic issues. Or it's non-repairable one. 😂😂😂

@@leonvanlent5069 compared to the snapdragon version it's just worse in every aspect. Worse battery life, worse modem, weaker cpu and gpu, harder to optimise apps on exynos. Camera worse in low lights. Look for it.
