I enjoyed this game. It wasn't as good as 2 or 3, and I was disappointed that Jack didn't retain his gun from 3. I felt it was a step down but still a fun little game that expanded on Kiara's character. Also I can't honestly compare 2,3 or this one to the original b/c 1 simply is a different kind of game all together.

I don't know if you still haven't found out yet, but anyways it was because the main creators/founders of Naughty Dog left the company and ND kept running into to problems because the creators Andy Gavin and Jason Rubin weren't there anymore.
Art style shift. At least Daxter is consistant in personality (the pants were added in Jak 3), Jak is probably less bad*** due to the Light Eco power having time to balance the Dark Eco a little more, Keira...can't think of anything. Tess is probably taking care of the naughty ottsel while Daxter is away. Ashelin and Torn are running Haven City, Sig is probably running Spargus City.
Well, this part explains why Jak's able to control all eco in the future, if he wasn't experimented with dark eco he wouldn't be who he will be in the future Mar I mean, he is Mar but he hasn't built Haven city himself but he did in the past but he I don't know Jak's Mar he created the eco mines and build haven city yeah. I really wish Naughty Dog would explain this more.
Jak is way different in this game out of Jak and Daxter series. His goatee is gone! His voice is different and they forgot Jak's second transformation which is light Jak. He's not angry or serious on his surroundings. This is an upsetting return of Jak and Daxter series.
I never gave a crap about graphics. As long as Daxter's in it, I'll buy it. Even if they somehow made him unfunny someday, I love the character to pieces.
I really like the steam punk. But for people who have never played a Jak game this would be awesome. For those that have we are all "What? I....I..just.. what?"
@Anaverageguy41 agree with you about jak and daxter's change in charcters but if you ever played the first game in the series, at the end the red sage hints Keria as becoming a sage in the future....so essentially her becomng a sage is part of the major jak and daxter story arc. Just sayin.....lol

God I love Jak and Daxter the Precursor Legacy, and Jak II Renegade..(When I heard Jak's voice..I was like "Whoa...He sounds shmekshi!") Jak III and Jak X Combat Racing! They were all awesome!! I just wish Naughty Dog didn't abandon this series..Anyways..I love the series..and that's my opinion XD Awesome Video by the Way! x3

Oh boy...that's what everyone said about Jason Griffith with Sonic (though Griffith DID suck in Sonic X with Sonic and Shadow). Sonic sounds just fine now, give it another game, I'm sure whoever is voicing Jak will get it right.
there is only one thing i can applaud high impact games for, that is actually making keira a part of the story again, and actually making her look good for once since the first game.......thats about it.......everything else was overall disapointing.....
@supersonicxshadow High impact games is mostly ex-members of Insomniac. they appear to do a lot of spin offs. the made Secret agent clank, and helped produce Jak-X
There's a major flaw in their reasoning of why Jak can't become Dark jak, they say its because of the concentrated eco in the air but that doesn't explain why Duke Skyheed and the others can enter dark forms. In my opinion it was just an excuse to shoe in dark daxter, which was stupid anyway because he had already been altered by dark eco. And i thought the mutation came about from dark eco injections, not external contact. Dark daxter wasn't even fun to play.
@TheSmackerlacker since this game wasnt made by naughty dog the new company changed the characters looks into more of a human form and jak sounds weird because he is not voiced by the same guy who voiced jak in the previous games
In terms of graphics I have to say the programmers could of done a little better, apart from that the jokes are spot on and the voices, even though there are a few changes are not bad. Im really hoping that another company get motivated to make another sequel for the PS3, here's to hoping.
no lol, they were going to make another one for 2012, it was a fail cause they lost alot of their people who created the jak and daxter series. Naugthy Dog didn't make Jak & Daxter the Lost Frontier. Which is why people didn't like it as much as the other Jak & Daxter games. I'm not so sure why there was no light jak, but if i took a wild guess, there wasn't that much light eco over there, there was just one, im suprise Jak didn't absorb it
Why didn't this come out on PS3... I've just finished a play through of Jak 3 and it was incredible. If only they'd just improved on that and made it next gen.
Zachary small Nah it really isn't... it's considered a Spin-off game so far, the original main series still consists only of 1 2 and 3... luckily xD Kinda like Dragon Ball GT.. it's there, but it's not canon, just a kind of what-if thing.
Green, Blue, Red, & Yellow eco are not as powerful as Light & Dark eco. He can still use eco powers safely but cannot transform into his dark & light forms cause transforming into a being with powerful eco being would kill him due to unstable eco storms.
