Maybe the Bone Angels are the remains of all the forcibly ascended animals, including the Nomad's mate, all mushed together and echo-ed. They seem pretty echo-like, but are said to be younger than the normal echoes.
Judging by how violently firebug eggs explode while being canonically filled with Void Fluid, I suppose it could be atleast partially flammable=if it isn't an implosion causing the boom instead of an explosion.
I think Void Fluid is highly volatile, just take the Fire Bug eggs as an example. Void Fluid quickly bursting from an Iterator would likely cause quite a few explosions.
These never fail to disappoint! Deserts are such a cool ecosystems and it was fascinating to see a rainword-ifed version of one. I also love the concept of a purposed slugcat just out there living its snake life.
Hi!! Person who proposed the Arbiter idea here! Id like to give a big hand to Ink Kebab who was the one who made the design for them! Itd be fantastic if you checked them out in the description!!
You know what would be cool? A region dubbed 'The Rainforest', with some stuff from farm arrays like raindeer and worm grass, but also jungle leaches and stuff from outer expanse, and even some undergrowth-esque stuff.
Huh. I never expected some sort of Glider mechanic for a slugcat. I can imagine something like the WIng Cap or Elytra from Minecraft in terms of the movement. Would be interesting! Though. We at least got Beecat which at least has some sort of hover. Would be cool to get this developed as a mod, even as a proof of concept. "Patrolling the Deadlands makes you wish for a nuclear winter"
I know this is never going to be a mod, but if someone decides to put in the hard work and effort into making even ONE of these mod concepts into a reality I will be ON TOP OF IT in SECONDS

It was awesome seeing how the concepts developed and how the final product was finally handled, saying it was worth it would be an understatement Seriously theres so many talented people working on these and it was such a cool experience being able to take part in this, fantastic job everyone!
Jeez man these keep getting better every time, I really hope someone takes the liberty of maybe even making this in a mod in the steam workshop because this one was amazing hats off to everyone who worked on it
I wanted a sugar glider like character in downpour so bad. I’m glad you guys used one. 😅 I was learning to make mod’s in rain world just so I could eventually figure out how to make one.
Someone's working on making this a fully fleshed mod just to spite you. With all of this lore, a general map, characters, and enemies, this could be what the Calamity mod is to Terraria.
gah this whole concept was so well thought out and detailed, it sounds like it could be a part of the actual game. i didn't think i'd sit through the whole thing but ig i did xD the artworks and the soundtrack was amazing as well! ty for you and your community's hard work :D
Holy shit dude this one was exceptionally good and well made. Like all the concepts were really fleshed out and just straight up cool I love the nomad they're the skrunkliest. So much art for it too! Really nice to see projects like these flourish. Shows a lot that there's truly no limit of what you can do with this game's world. In conclusion very cool i give it three thumbs up emojis
I'm genuinely amazed at how much quality content the Rain World community puts out despite how niche of a game this is. Amazing work to all the contributors!
The quality of these continued to improve, I’m seriously blown away with how much high quality art there is, the map, the little cutscene-esque bits, or the ones that try to look like sprites, like damn, seriously amazing stuff, everyone who worked on this is extremely talented.
This. Was. Fantastic. A whole community working together for an extensive piece of rain world lore. Hats off to the discord server, they did amazing. This also sparked a new idea in my head. What if there was wind direction? Left, Right, Up and none? When the nomad glides, if the wind direction is left/right, the nomad will glide quicker in said direction. If the wind direction is up, the nomad glides longer. Else, there is no wind direction, and the nomad has no gliding buffs. The wind direction changes with every cycle, and also affects other flying creatures.
A few hundred cycles earlier Iterator: your name is dead leaves on cold mountains? Dlocm:yup Iterator: and you south bond winds, festering storm? Sbwfs:yup Ominous foreshadowing
Funny how i literally had the same idea for a slugcat but there is some difference like my slugcat lives in a tropical environment where it uses its ability to fly to jump from a tree to a tree like a flying squirrel
for a second i thought it was distant frontier and i was having mixed feelings... as the video passed i was gulping down every hype i had for distant frontier fate and trying to not make it look like anticlimactic that he fucking died from a fire... but then i was shocked... What a twist and a relief! Also thank you for making such content to our favorite video game! I can even see there is lot of effort put into the video not to even mention the collabiration with the discord!
Major coincidence: I’m making a mod concept, and I have a creature weirdly similar to the bone angel. The Sea Judge inhabits near-impossible to navigate aquatic regions, such as Submerged Superstructure and Flooded Floor. If you have raised your karma level at least once, they will grant you infinite underwater breath time, allowing Flooded Floor to be traversed without utilizing air pockets or Bubble Weed at all. However, if you’re at the minimum karma, they will send out a siren that alerts all hostile creatures in the region to your location. They can not cause direct harm nor be harmed, and only exist to encourage raising your karma level and making Flooded Floor somewhat easier. In terms of physical appearance they are a small, semi-transparent Guardian-looking creature with no “halo” and the tenth karma symbol on their head replaced with a triangle. It is unknown where they come from, and all the evidence is Flooded Floor’s pearl, which contains information on several sighting of them, so the Ancients couldn’t have created them. And since the notice was likely before No Significant Harassment’s construction, and Looks to the Moon doesn’t really have the mental capacity to make a thing like that, and since No Significant Harassment wasn’t finished, Five Pebbles and Seven Red Suns couldn’t have existed, our only potential contenders for creating them are Chasing Wind, Unparalleled Innocence, chatlog iterators, or some supernatural force. It’s hard to imagine an iterator making this, but it’s possible they made it to encourage enlightenment among creatures to help with global ascension. Although this theory is plausible, the idea of it being a supernatural force makes more sense. If you have any opinions, please reply.
I think a really cool Region Concept would be Distant Frontier's Can. It would be as big as all the regions in Rain World combined. And it would be split into sub regions based on the specialized areas from when he was expanding his can in the story, perhaps with a "original can" sub region at the center. Essentially the sub regions would be the size of regions in normal Rain World
Thank you for supplying me with an idea, I shall run this idea over with my team, and will deicide whether or not we shall attempt to code this as a sequel.
This is the best one yet. This is the best one by far. Genuinely so sad that I can't actually play this for myself, this shit is next level amazing, and ties right into the main game's plot.
I just binge watched all of these and they have gotten better and better with each iteration! (hah) From the new slug cat design to the map itself, I swear this looks so official and now I want to see this made. Excellent job by you and all the artists!
I really wish this was a real Slugcat, seems so fun, I've had the idea of a Slugcat that glides for so long that it's nice to finally see the idea used for something
If someone would ask me about what is my favourite type of location in video games I would say... Factory... I adore industrial levels, but this is a story for another time, but guess what is in second place? *DESERT!* What you gave us is a very cool contrast to what we have right now. A desert world would be a nice contrast to "tropical" (you can kill me if I name climatic zone of Rain World wrong) like locations of current game. Well someone can say that desert is a hot empty wasteland, but it is always fun to see how you can fill up this wasteland with life. For start I just want to say that Nomad is just so cute! The mix of Fennec and flying squirel looks so good! If fact I would love to have such fluffy slugcat as my own pet. The world itself also looks great. The propotions of hot sand covered wasteland and covered by sand ruins of ancients are perfect, after all noone would like to roam around empty sand dunes for too long. Fauna of this land is also fascinating and unique, definitley my favourites are these desert voltures, iguanas, and snake creature in ruins of iterator. Speaking of witch. This desert world just screams to have a alteenative campain abut snake slugcat that cant use spears, but instead have a long horizontal jump and venomus bite. Also the venom could not kill prey intantly, but you would need to waint for poison to do its job, or bite again. Overall great job, I hope to see more concepts as unique as this one, becouse I feelt in love with "Sand World"
I feel like you'd actually want to sleep through midday. That would be the equivolent of the rain - the hot sun cooking all things not holed up alive. Above ground this happens quicker but happens even deep underground as well. And you sleep in various forms of fridges and cooled caves.

Man, these region concepts are so good I genuinely hope that someone someday approaches you and asks if they can turn one of these into an actual mod. I also think it would be cool if, acting like this were real, once you beat the nomad's campaign, you would be able to play through as the arbiter on their journey into sliver, sort of like hunter to moon in base game. I have some ideas on how it could be different, assuming this is an interesting enough idea: It would have to be harder, of course, to compensate for the stronger slugcat. You could have much stronger creatures around, with the reasoning being that there are some creatures that were strong enough and aggressive enough to survive the badlands for enough time for the arbiter to come across them, but not long enough to be an issue for the nomad. They would probably also have a more demanding diet, due to their strength and having to produce venom, and would have to be craftier and more efficient in getting around due to not having the gliding of the nomad. You could also have the scavs be aggressive like they are with artificer in downpour because the arbiter is running around with a valuable pearl and not giving it to them, potentially even passing through the toll without paying right before the campaign starts, so they end up being a threat as well. As for the story significance, there's of course the pearl transport, but I think it would make sense to have them carry a neuron as well, meant to try and revive sliver, and it can be an optional side objective to bring it with them as well (like the NSH neuron that hunter brings to moon lore-wise, but more like the pearl hunter has gameplay-wise). The campaign will, of course, end when you bring the pearl to sliver's chamber, with a short in-game cutscene of the arbiter moving to the rubble, before a series of images show them trying to find a way to give sliver the pearl, and ending up just placing it next to them. If you choose to bring the neuron with you, it will fly around and interact with the pile of rubble in the same way the hunter neuron does with moon, and it will cause the chamber to shake for a bit, until the neuron gets hit by something that looks like the way pebbles kills you/ the way saint ascends creatures. The moment that happens, the same effect that plays when you go past the big karma 10 symbol in the depths will play in the chamber, and the arbiter's karma will be upgraded once, before the neuron falls to the ground, seemingly deactivated. If you choose to resume the arbiter's campaign after this, it will pick up right after the point the nomad leaves their second main encounter with the arbiter. From here, I think it would also be cool if there were some means for the arbiter to ascend, most likely via sliver's filtration system buried under her structures remains. This would necessitate another echo, of course, but I don't think that someone who loves both writing and the echoes would have too much of an issue making one more, especially since it gives an excuse for a little extra world building. If you do ascend, you could get a reskinned version of the base game ascension ending, though I think it would be cool if the arbiter somehow met sliver, especially since the player would have had to bring sliver that extra neuron in order to ascend, and I feel it would just wrap up the whole story that little bit better. Another thing is that, unless there's something that I don't know, there's no real reason the nomad would be able to understand the echoes, since I don't know of an iterator they would have gotten the mark from, and they definitely aren't as weird as saint. Meanwhile, the arbiter's position as an iterator's messenger would give them an excellent reason to have the mark, and so you wouldn't need to contrive some way the nomad got the mark off camera like their rivulet, but still give the player some juicy echo dialogue. Anyways, that's all the ideas I had. I know that if I wanted this to have a good chance of getting anyone to read this it would have been to take part in the development of the region on the discord server, but I'm not on there so I couldn't, and I thought this was all very cool and wanted to get my thoughts out on something I think would be cool to add to it. I also know none of the other region concepts had more than one slugcat, but they also didn't have a more-or-less full region map like this one did (like seriously, with all the skilled creatives you have on that server Das, you could probably make one of these a reality if you wanted too), so even if the chances of this even being acknowledged are low, I still felt it was worth saying, and I still love this region concept regardless.
Cool ideas, there is discord link in channel info i think, so you could participate in next region concept if you want, and sadly it will never be a mod it is just too much work compared to concept

I JUST JOINED AND I DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS PROJECT BUT I AM EXCITED AF 😭😭
You know what would be cool? A region dubbed 'The Rainforest', with some stuff from farm arrays like raindeer and worm grass, but also jungle leaches and stuff from outer expanse, and even some undergrowth-esque stuff.
maybe I've already enountered you before, but our PFP's look eerily similar, without the aperture of course.
@@GoldballIndustries My pfp is the old coolmath games logo, it's for the nostalgia.

Also it was fun to work in this project, even if i didn't manage to make something big or impressive. Everyone did a great job and it was very intriguing and interesting to see the result 👍
We need these campaigns so badly!! Your concepts and ideas are unimaginable. And the art is just so sick!
(FeatheredDreams1011 here) I still can't believe I got to contribute to one of these!! It was awesome seeing how the concepts developed and how the final product was finally handled, saying it was worth it would be an understatement
Seriously theres so many talented people working on these and it was such a cool experience being able to take part in this, fantastic job everyone!

Honestly this is great, the only thing I'd add would be an oasis, a tiny area that gives refuge form the sun, a sliver of hope for the deadlands
YOU USED THE WORD SLIVER YOU SLY PERSON! dangit you're good at this.
It was so wild getting lore for Arbiter I had no clue about beforehand

Nomad should also descend a bit slower when gliding into the wind from increased lift.
This man is giving ideas for futures dlcs, he must be hired.
Very cool video love it

Funny how i literally had the same idea for a slugcat but there is some difference like my slugcat lives in a tropical environment where it uses its ability to fly to jump from a tree to a tree like a flying squirrel
I think this one was once just like that…
I can't comprehend the amount of creative energy concentrated on this Discord server.
aint no way right after i binge all the region concepts he makes a new one
Sounds like a great time!!!!
for a second i thought it was distant frontier and i was having mixed feelings... as the video passed i was gulping down every hype i had for distant frontier fate and trying to not make it look like anticlimactic that he fucking died from a fire... but then i was shocked...
POV: me being upset it’s not downpour flora&fauna
Me: also realizing these are good and goes back to watch the others.
it technically *is* flora and fauna
@@forkgodsdescendant2503 it's only a concept tough...
I think a really cool Region Concept would be Distant Frontier's Can. It would be as big as all the regions in Rain World combined. And it would be split into sub regions based on the specialized areas from when he was expanding his can in the story, perhaps with a "original can" sub region at the center. Essentially the sub regions would be the size of regions in normal Rain World
so basically fuck you the rain world region
I hope he make’s that epic idea😎
I'm so glad i made the glass spires and was a part of this, i look forward to doing more
This is an amazing concept! I'd love to see a mod of it, even if it just starts out with The Nomad in Survivor's world.
Thank you for supplying me with an idea, I shall run this idea over with my team, and will deicide whether or not we shall attempt to code this as a sequel.

If someone would ask me about what is my favourite type of location in video games I would say... Factory... I adore industrial levels, but this is a story for another time, but guess what is in second place? *DESERT!*
What you gave us is a very cool contrast to what we have right now.
Overall great job, I hope to see more concepts as unique as this one, becouse I feelt in love with "Sand World"
Yo since I left this community for 2 years and coming back today, this community just gone far better than remember
The title made me think of the Dead Lands from Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling, with its terrifying (both in design and power) inhabitants.

I have some ideas on how it could be different, assuming this is an interesting enough idea:
It would have to be harder, of course, to compensate for the stronger slugcat.
