One thing every Fire Alarm Inspector aka Fire Alarm Enthusiast must know, is that you should always Remember to Reset the Pull Station before Resetting the Fire Alarm Control Panel.
If the Pull Station is activated when you reset the Panel, then the Fire Alarm System would re-alarm until you reset the Pull Station.
Ive seen the pull boxes with the "local alarm only" on them before like he was talking about.
This is a 90s fire alarm system.
Leave it to you two to have an industrial-grade fire alarm system in your house.

I was thinking of getting a set up. I wanted to know if you can hook up a pull station and an alarm with a battery and no panel.
You can do that, a panel is just an option for us

fun fact two Firelight and Notifier do not make the BG-10 anymore and the reason why is because the design prone to accidental false alarms for example something hitting the pull station
You are 100% right! The BG-10 was a mistake in my opinion, because it is so easy to activate, you do not even have to "push in" to activate it
