I recently had one of your videos in my recommendations and I am blown away how much of a diamond in the rough of a channel this is. I mean, no, it’s you. 😀 Thank you so much for putting this content on here! What you put into your videos actually feels meaningful in comparison to so many other channels. And that’s it! Haven’t yet watched all of your videos, but I’m close I think. 🙃

This is such a sweet comment, thank you so much! It really means a lot, especially from this video, one of the early ones on TH-cam 🥹. It makes me so happy that my delivery and approach is resonating with so many people. I just want to give the advice that I wish I had when I starting my design journey. I truly appreciate your support and am thrilled to have you join me on this incredible journey! 💛 ✨

I'm so happy I found your channel! I'm an architect as well, and I've been thinking about changing careers. I recently discovered UX Design and related fields and got very excited about the possibility of applying some of my creative and design skills in a different way. Hearing about your experience has inspired me to pursue that and take a leap of faith. This is all very new to me, so I still need to do more research, but finding your channel was a precious discovery!
I've been struggling with building a good portfolio. I'm not sure if I should include other creative works besides my architecture-related projects. Is there any chance you could share your portfolios so I can have a good reference? Since you have an architecture and interior design background, your portfolios would be the perfect inspiration for me to understand the types of work I need to have ready. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

Hi fellow architect! Thanks so much for feedback and the support, it means the world to me. 💛
I would love to share my portfolio but I haven't renewed my Squarespace account so it's not live. 🤣 What I did back then was create a separate page for my architecture work and a separate page for my UX work and landed recruiters on the UX design portfolio section so that they didn't get confused. Hope this helps, I'll definitely share the portfolio in one of my future videos if I end up renewing it.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I graduated from architecture school four years ago, but I have always had my doubts on this carreer path. My boyfriend who works with tech introduced me to UX/UI and I am currently doing my own research.
Are there any other channels or sources that you would recommend to test the waters before doing the leap of faith?
Are there any online courses that you recommend?
❤❤ thanks again for sharing your journey and helping people to take the risk of changing carreer paths ❤❤

Hi! You're very welcome and, for what it's worth, you're doing the right thing researching before switching immediately because it's a big decision. Have you looked at the Google UX Certificate on Coursera? I don't know what your financial situation is like but financial aid is available if you need it. I think a course like this one is a great way to get some exposure to UX without fully committing, just to get a sense of whether it's for you or not. Hope this helps and thanks for all the kind words 💛✨
