To change euro norm band's .... With the F button pressed down turn on the radio and then choose the country that you wish to select. If you're radio is already modified..... With the radio already on press and hold the monitor button and with the channel selector you can choose which band you want to use however you could turn on the span feature and use the channel selector as a vfo. Thanks
The US version will put out 60 watts FM and 30 watts AM. Just replace the missing finale transistor and white jumper wire. Then do a hard reset of the radio. You can see a picture of the missing components on Radio Reference. Expanded Range 26.076 - 28.776 MHZ.
The big improvement over the McKinley is the slightly larger frequency display, the noise reduction circuit helps a lot and if required the bit of extra power, the power this puts out make's those cheap little burners redundant
Just because it's made by a different company doesn't make it a bad radio, not all president's in the past were uniden based like the KP 77 for instance.
What an amazing radio! I love the green display. Thanks for sharing this! 👋
I prefer the green too
Pour le balayage continue des fréquentes il faut se mettre sur le mode span
ok, je vais essayer. merci
How do you change bands? TIA

Can you adjust the rf power on this? I have to say it have a resembles the look of the 980 Bearcats. 73s KX 420 Northern Indiana
On this EU version the power is adjustable from legal 12watts up to 35 watts

Well that sounds good and since the the FCC version will probably be a lot cheaper than the UK/EU version then it sounds like a good plan
The US version is locked to midband only via firmware.
I thought that the USA version would be crippled in some way
Forgot to ask if this a 10 and 12 meter radio, or is 11 meter there and van it be expanded for further channels? Thank you , for your patiences.
As standard it is a CB radio and it can be expanded for export use and higher power output
I fancy one of these for the collection but i know a few lads who didn’t like it at all, what are your thoughts Dave? All the best

The president Harrison wasn't uniden it was a maycom.
But personally I like new and old radio's and as long as it works ok I am happy enough with it
President George 2 was designed, engineered, 3D CAD design all in Europe. Production yes was China but in a President entity
@@robgibbsofficial yes that is right, many top branded products are made in china if they weren't they would be a lot more expensive
