Hi Jodi thank you for posting this beautiful music. This what the whole world needs to see that the uke can do more. Thank you ma'am and have a nice day ":)
Hello Jodie, what a Challenge. I am looking forward for the next piece out of this book. This third piece sounds really nice!! Thanks for sharing! Kind regards from Germany and be blessed!!!
Hiya Jodi, you've done a great job and I think that the low G suits it. I have the same book but I'm only on the second piece yet, so this one is next up for me. Take care and stay safe. x
New to your show. Very informative and appreciate your. fingerpicking ability. You are very dedicated to the ukulele and I thank you for your enthusiasm. May the New Year bring you more music and a few more uke's.
Loved it!! 👏👏👏👏 Really does have that lute vibe to the tune. Like a lady in waiting at a renaissance fair.😃 Currently I'm working on trying to sing harmonies...Case studies for this are: Everybody hurts by REM, the Boxer by Simon and Garfunkel...also taking a shot at if I had a million dollars by the Barenaked ladies.
Very good! In college we had to do pieces such as this within ensembles. Always great with three or four people playing their own parts for a total big sound.
Great job, Jodi! I'm currently working on a chord melody arrangement of James Taylor's "Fire and Rain" by Matt Dahlberg. It's such a lovely song that it still sounds good despite my fumblings in the beginning stages of learning it ;)
Aye a pretty ditty methinks fair Lady. It doth suit the low G stringing most well. Tis a fine thing to hear on a bright frosty morning in "Merrie England". This polar bear doth truly look forward to your next in this challenge. On another note entirely, I'm not having a lot of success with Enya ukulele at present. They now have sent me two Nova U 's and both a NBG. They won't take the faulty ones back. Which problem I have encountered once before with a Chinese company. Ho hum, I suppose I might end up with enough of them to make up a good one eventually 😊
@@girlmeetsuke2980 it's an old British army quatermasters expression for classifying equipment. Three classes , serviceable, not serviceable and No Bl**dy Good. 😊. I've had an email from them to say they will refund me but apparently they won't take them back. I ordered the one the electronics and that's where the problems are. No 1 had a loose transducer and No 2 had a terrible feedback whine. I think the body is too narrow
If my eyes were closed, I’d swear you were playing a lute. My next ukulele project is to find a way to light up my clear Gold Tone Little Gem for the holidays.
I am trying to get la vie en rose down but still having issues but will keep plugging along. Its a beautiful french song if you have not heard it you should give it a try. I have the cheapest Uke so It does not sound as well as I hope but since no funds I will keep on trying my best to learn. Living in South Carolina everyone plays guitar including me but Ukulele is different for me I just cannot grasp the picking technique just yet but will over come it. Miss my guitar had it since 1980. Played since 1971 so you know I am a older man that keeps my interest up when playing. Jodi relax when you play it needs to be fun so you can relax after a hard day. You will enjoy it more. Watch your video over and I can see where you are tensing up your chin looks as if its locked in place Relax have fun.
Haha. Trust me- I always have fun while playing. I did see the chin thing, but that’s just me concentrating. I’ll see if I can relax and concentrate at the same time. Sounds like a fun challenge!
Hi, I don't know if these comments are being read after this time or not but thank you for this video. I like the Ukulele your playing too, what brand is it again? (I quite like the way it sounds and think it suits this kind of music).
Thanks! It’s my Blackbird Clara. Over five years later and she’s still my most played instrument. I have a review for it on my channel. th-cam.com/video/ltV5jfhv3aA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=D8JXrHMaiUCLYFz4

That sounds so neat.

Wow! I’m impressed! I’ve playing around with trying to learn Malagueña. What I need to do is set aside time and actually focus on learning it.
Yep. That’s all it takes. Can’t wait to hear it when you’re ready. (I got your email) I’ll give you a shout out this weekend.
Thanks Jodi! I really appreciate it!

How frustrating! What do you mean by NBG?

Well, I’d love to see the finished product once you figure it out. 😊
