Thanks for doing this man 🤘🏻🕶🤘🏻🎸☠️☠️☠️☠️🍺🥃 It’s appreciated by all us Stones Addicts . My tele is in open G 5 strings & sounds great through my Tonemaster Deluxe reverb
I think you are the first on youtube to show it in open G. Thanks. I'll try it later. I wonder if Ron Wood will be playing some of the chords in standard tuning when they play it live. I'm unable to tell if he does that on the recording. I'm assuming the leads and some of the licks are in standard but could be wrong.
Superb job. Bravo from U.K. 👏🏻 Could you help me identify the two “motif” chords in the intro/verses? i.e. after the B chord, the barre chord on the 4th fret with fingers on the 6th fret/4th string and 5th fret/2nd string. Similarly shifted down to the 9th fret after the E chord. I can’t find any decent info anywhere.
I like standard to save on the hassle and keep my brain ticking, as well as playing other songs on it. No, I don't keep other guitars for specific tunings much 😋
Totally agree. I wasn’t going for a clone sound, although I have one with a humbucker in the neck but it didn’t sound as good. Life’s mysteries. Thanks for commenting and watching!
Haven't seen them play it live but open G sounds like Keith. I have another lesson up where I have it "capo 2." th-cam.com/video/eCV08aT4zLU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=MYrSYMdRqKA3feOl
@JohnMcNicholas that how to did it when I played in a black crowds trib. Once in awhile you might need the high E to D for slide work. Very rare to use the low E.
I'm in love with open g...Great lesson many thanks...
Happy to help!
Absolutely one of the best lessons. Great Stuff.
Much appreciated!
I keep my telecaster in open G...The Key Of Keith in honor of Mr. Richards!👍🏻😉❤
Love it!

I have the exact same questions that you do. I wanna break down the leads to see if I can figure out who’s doing what and what tuning!
Actually Mick plays the intro chords
@@slimturnpike Is there a live video yet? I'd love to check it out!

I think open G sounds more accurate ✅
100% agree!

@@StratsRUs I keep mine in standard 99.9% of the time but this was fun. I’m thinking about leaving a KEEF guitar laying around for a fun challenge.

can you do all the actual lead parts? that would be great!
I will try to get to this! Would be fun.

Thank you so much, can't wait to check this out
Hey! Do you think you could do Different by Joshua Bassett? Specifically the little intro riff? Sounds great!
I'll check it out!
So; basically it’s all Keith on this song, including the lead; with no Ronnie overdubs? Believe me; there’s nothing wrong with that ❤
I updated the lesson with more info and a capo. You can check out the update here with the leads - th-cam.com/video/eCV08aT4zLU/w-d-xo.html
No. Keith has a Humbucker on his Tele . Sounds wrong with the coil.

What amp and settings?
Hey, it's a really basic setup. It's a Boss Katana 50w on the clean channel with the gain turned up just a little and some reverb!

Great Keith's sound.
What???
It’s in open G??

Open G is the ONLY way to play it. Standard will never sound right. Tune the A to G and leave everything else alone. This way you can play solo.
Great idea!

@@r.llynch4124 Very cool! One of my other favorite bands!
Humbucker is needed also.

You forgot the capo at 2nd fret
That would totally make sense!
@@JohnMcNicholas yeah you can hear it in the pull-offs during the guitar fills
Amazing, I’m going to update the video! Thanks for pointing that out. 🙏
