Out of this whole movie I started crying when he said 6 weeks to several decades I couldn't imagine losing everything within a possible 6 weeks..

Didn't Steve get trapped in the 1860s but his dog got trapped in the 1930s? I guess it's not impossible for him to eventually reunite with his dog, but he would have to wait about 70 years to do it, so he would be *extremely* old by that point, unless the synchronic also made him immortal or something.

@@chimera9818unlikely, he had terminal cancer that even modern science couldn't prevent. he would not fair well in the 1860s. if he didnt die from his gunshot wound (poor medical standards back then would lead to infection + he was black with no "papers" so would be seen as a slave and given low medical priority), or get captured/executed by the Confederacy, then at a minimum he would pass from the cancer within a few months

It is a part of a larger universe created by the directors. Before watching this watch Resolution 2012, Spring 2014, the endless 2017, and then finally this move Synchronic 2019.
I remember watching this, it was a really good movie. Different. Original. Well made. I really liked it, and this summary was fantastic.

An interesting film and story line. However there is one thing that really pissed me off, it was taking the dog with him, anything but the lovely dog.

So far I like the story, I like the actors, but they should have hired a emergency medical technician, of a metropolitan service, consultant because those EMTs did not follow any standardize, necessary, standard operating procedures/rules and regulations That EMT's would need to do to ensure the proper possible needed and definitely needed treatment of a patient. Though I'm sure it was a necessity for the flow of the movie.
YES SYNCHRONIC! the makers Justin Benson and Aaron Moorehead made a sequel Resolution(decent), and Endless (good!) Also they made Spring (Pretty Good!) and Something in the dirt (kinda boring)
RESOLUTION (2012) is a sequel to what? Certainly not SYNCHRONIC (2019). Supposedly, SYNCHRONIC, THE ENDLESS (2017), and SPRING (2014) are loosely tied to RESOLUTION, as in they could be based in a shared fictional universe, of sorts, but that would make RESOLUTION a jerry-rigged prequel, not a sequel. Is there a movie that comes before RESOLUTION that's based in an earlier part of the timeline, which is also in the same fictional universe?

Everyone worried about the dog. Dogs live up to 15 years in best case scenario.. and that one looked to be about 14 yrs old. It was a nice send for his dog to go to another time to meet it’s end.
