Michael, you should know that the lightsaber crystals operate by RFID tag. Buy a cheap RFID scanner from Amazon and unlock all the lightsaber colors AND sounds for FREE. Take care my friend.
Honestly I wish you would have put a spoiler tag on your comment because you really just ruined my immersion. The only way to change the color and sound of a lightsaber is by the jedi or sith finding different kyber crystals.

I built a lightsabre when we were there it was amazing, and the lightsabre is fantastic. Only issue was getting it back to the UK but the airline was ok with it going in the over head compartment.
@@tiffprendergast the airport at orlando going through security were fine they took a second look at the xray as it was going through, then asked if they could see the lightsaber I made, it was quite cool as they were huge star wars fans. It was the thomascook airline that didn't know what to do with it lol
That looks like such a fun experience. I’ve heard that those lightsabers are more of a “show piece” than a toy. My son would probably want to battle with it, so we’ll stick with the plastic ones for now😃

Our son built the droid our last trip, though we told him that he is going to have to wait till May to build the light saber, to spread out the cost of those two awesome souvenirs! He loves the droid and just had it racing around our house this weekend.
David said he would love to make one but not keep it. You guys could always make one and auction it off and donate the money to a good cause that you believe in.
I think that michael kay should start a charity where he funds trips to disney world for people who are in need or have an illness. Maybe the "Michael Kay Fund"? Really great idea!
Yes bro! You picked the best class! I got a Peace and Justice class lightsaber with a yellow crystal (I had to buy that separate for $17). I also have a green crystal. It's awesome. Also, you were one piece away from building the same lightsaber as mine haha
I have a suggestion. Why don’t you insert your photo pass pictures into your vlog so we can get an idea of the special shots done by the photo pass photographers. It may help us in our trip planning. Thanks.
I built an elemental & nature one with a purple blade for balance (red & blue make purple. My other consideration was a peace & justice blade with a red crystal to represent the paradox of the power & control necessary to obtain peace & justice. I may just have to save up another $215+😅
You thought making an appointment 2 weeks in advance was a long time? Lol thats cute. I had to make mine 70 days in advance. I still have 66 days to wait
it's like build-a-bear but more warlike? :-) mace windu's crystal was red? i guess i just assumed the crystal would be the color of the saber's light... but then maybe at high energy levels it's hard to know how the energy itself will look compared to the solid object. "i nearly lost my life but got this scarlet crystal!....oh man..the beam is strawberry-milkshake pink" "well at least your friends will find you easy to spot on the battlefield" :-)

Did they change the show? As I understood it, you chose your crystal before going into the shop to build, and it was a blind bag situation. Here you just got to choose what color you wanted. Not that I mind, I prefer not to have a big part of my $200 experience be random. Does this mean no more black crystals?

It's hard to beat the experiences in Galaxy's Edge, we built droids last time and I think next time I'm gonna spring for the lightsaber.

The blade detaches, but I think the whole saber fits in the sleeve
