    Incredible arrangement, adorable gal! The tape was removed as the final product was revealed. Keep these coming! Love your personality!

    With all my respect to your job & Mayesh ,,, you never follows the technique and looks very messy in a wood box with no water 🙆🏼‍♀️

    as a florist do you get to make this type of thing often? I own a florist in a small town and I NEVER get to make this type of thing, no one around here whats to pay that type of price for flowers. How to you get to do these so often?

      We, too, are in a small town. Statesboro, Georgia, in fact! We have a daily retail shop that is almost fifty years old. We worked hard to re-brand and grow in the direction we wanted to go -- this aesthetic. We do travel, a lot. A lot of people want to big fancy piece and then we go lighter on the additional flowers -- like suggest using candles or lanterns or bud vases. So that the money can be put in to one statement piece. It wasn't easy. And, it took time. But, it's where we wanted to go. It's the image we put out in everything - social media, event work, the universe. And, if we can metamorphic an old flower shop in South Georgia. You can, too! We promise.

      Good pictures and styling in those pictures goes a lonnng way to show people how pretty, the arrangements are... hoping this helps! If it's where you want to go --- go there!! You can do it.

      we aint to far! Bryson city NC. lol thank you! People here want to tell you the container, the flowers, everything, even if you try to tell them its not going to look like they want. they don't listen and then complain. I get so frustrated with the day to day arrangements there's no creativity left by the time the customers get done. Did you turn away the customers that didn't fit with your look? I'm not sure how to start getting to the look we want

      Hi! Christy's newest video kinda talks about this... it's a transition. At some point, yes we started turning away styles we didn't like doing -- like the Huge Mum with earrings and eyes??!! The happy mum! lol or the cheap dozens with baby's breath and leather. It took a while... but, now, we own it. Watch the new video -- you can't jump right in to super high end garden style -- but if you move slowly - transition. It will work! Good luck. Stay in touch!

    Can I tell you how much it bugs me that you can SEE YOUR TAPE!

    • @christygriner
      @christygriner 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yes! Please forgive me. It is an oversight when filming the video. TAPE is AWFUL!!!!! I am so embarrassed, now! To be honest as I am sure you can see, talking while designing is a challenge for me as are the lights, camera and all the people. I do my best, and have come to love it!!! But, it looks like I haven't mastered it yet, if tape is showing. Geez!
      Any mechanics seen are a huge no-no. In real life, I am adamant like with an upper case A that no mechanics are ever seen. They call me over critical and a perfectionist because if ANY mechanics are evident it's immediately pulled. No exceptions. Now, that I've made the mistake in public and recorded of all places, maybe I need to be more lenient with my staff.
      Thanks, Natasha for pointing it out to me so I can be better. I think in over-exaggerating so it's obvious to the audience, the unnatural environment posed by video production, and a poor final once over, I failed. Forgive me. I hope you can find beauty some other parts of the video and the intent to inspire people to get out of their comfort zone to incorporate unexpected things. Xx! Thank you!!!! Please forgive me as I am embarrassed!

      I absolutely love this. This is my favourite arrangement. I love your work and think you do a great job at explaining the process. You've given me confidence to give it a go! Keep up the great work Christy :) (from Wellington, NZ) :)

      @@christygriner What would you do in real situations not to show the tapes and the wires with containers like this? Do you remove the tapes and fold in the wires at the end, or would you wrap a ribbon around to hide them? Thanks.

    • @christyhulsey4871
      @christyhulsey4871 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      We use tape EVERY DAY. And hide it every day either by designing to camouflage - like floral product draped over the tape or yes! As you suggest by tucking it in after the design. More often - we design to disguise. The tape is necessary during delivery IMO. Exposed tape is a huge NoNo HUGE! I’m embarrassed that it happened on the video but it was an honest error under the bright lights, talking while designing, and looking at camera not at design. It’s tough for folks like me! But I agree no one should EVER see mechanics - disguising it is part of the magic!

    They are all beautiful flowers and expensive too, but the arrangement has too much movements!
