Hi! Sorry, I'm not quite sure what you mean. Are you trying to open an exported Excel file? And are you right-clicking on the Excel.exe app? Or the file you exported?

Where did the original file originate from? Did someone send it to you? And what extension does both the original and exported version have?

I am having with my Excel file and I am unable to open it because of the following error messages. I have tried your fixes in the video with no luck
"Excel can not open the file because the file format or file extension is not valid. Verify that the file has not been corrupted and that the file extension matches the format of the file"
Any help or assistance in regards to this matter is greatly appreciated

I'm sorry to hear that! If you've tried changing the format and checking for any protections, it's probably corrupted or damaged in some way. If you used the repair tool in Excel, that does have its limitations. There are other repair tools available online, some are free, but I haven't tried those. Others you could pay for and are pretty reasonable for a one-time use (like $10 USD). These usually have more capabilities that go beyond what Excel offers.
There are some other methods you could try.
      1. You can check your temporary folder and change the location and format there. Not sure what version of Microsoft you have, but newer versions are usually found in C:\Users\{your user profile}\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\UnsavedFiles. Look for your file (it'll begin with a $ or ~) ending in the extension ".tmp".
If you make a copy and save it to a different location, then change the ".tmp" to whatever version of Excel you're using (".xlsx"), that may work.
*** Make sure you are logged in as the Administrator and if you don't see the folders you're looking for, select the options in your File Explorer window and make sure you can view hidden files and folders ***
If you still can't find the file/folder, use the File Explorer search bar in type "*.tmp" to show all temp files and folders
      2. Open a blank Excel file and save it with the same name as the file you're having trouble with (not in the same location). Right-click and open properties.
Open the previous versions tab, select the version you want, and click Restore.
Granted, this only helps if you already had the file backup settings enabled.
I hope this helps you. Errors like this can be tough to find a solution for as the source of the problem isn't always cut and dry.
      Good luck!👍
