One of my favourite games of all time :D, I always loved the voice acting in the HL series, from the scientists, security guards and HECU marines in HL1, to the highly diverse and brilliant set of characters in HL2. I also love how they used the voicing casts' faces for their characters, it was one of gaming's biggest steps forward just as the Source engine was :D.
It just doesn't seem right to me. Perhaps it's their apperance, but Barney's voice sounds way younger than G-Man's. But the artifacts in the voice sound similar... Crazy talent 😮
Wow... my favourite chapter is Ravenholm and now i realise that father Grigoris appearance is the face of a guy from my country, Romania. This makes me love this game even more... man half life was so good. I like how they modeled the human characters based after the voice actors. It made the game feel real and honest. Plus giving the voice actors a highlight for being such a huge part of the game. this is how it should be there are way too many shallow games these days .
Valve needs to hurry up with Episode Three. The voice actors of Breen, Eli and Grigori have all died just since the release of Episode Two. I fear that Gordon's voice actor will be the last and only person alive by the time Episode Three is finished.
I also recognize the voice of actor Tony Todd as the Vortigaunt in Episode 2. Otherwise, I never knew that more than one actor did the voices of any of these characters.
