Trent is correct. This isn't like on AMG cars, where the engine has the builder's name on it. Mick Freeman did the final inspection on the ENTIRE car, not the engine. Doug DeMuro got it wrong in one of his videos too.
I'm completely with you on the whole liking a car with some mileage. Cars are machines, they're built to be used, not to sit and be statues or static show pieces. There's nothing worse than a car that's been used so little it doesn't work properly. A car that's been used but well loved will always feel enthusiastic. I've got a 30 year old sports bike that starts beautifully every time because it's lived exactly the kind of life you describe for your Aston and I love it that bit more because it feels like it wants to get out, see the road and be used (And shout at other vehicles).
I bought mine earlier this year, 1988 Cutlass Ciera XC 2dr. I love the proportions, practicality, and the comfort, with decent power and handling. It's.. pure and simple.

I'm not sure why we haven't seen a video on the Lexus LC500 but I'd be willing to bet that once you reviewed one of these you'd change your tune about Aston Martin. Fortunately you're a very skilled mechanic so when the Aston needs repair, you can do it. The Lexus however is not at all like the A.M. It is reliable and will cost much less to maintain than your DBS. I follow your channel and would love to see what you think of the LC500. I own a 2018 and love it. I'm also a 50 year, second owner of a 1969 L71 Corvette 427/435 and that car has been my daily driver all these years. It looks brand new and I'm fortunate enough at almost 74 where I can still drive a four speed. The two cars are as different as night and day. Keep up the great work Freddie. Love your channel.

Often when me and my friends talk about cars and i ask them what their dream car is, they always say like lamborghini or ferrari. But when they ask me, i tell them that my dream car is simply a BMW M3 e92 manual. Its just something i love about that car. Its not the fastest and not the slowest by any means, but i just love the looks of it

I don't get the excitement over manual cars. I see the same excitement when I've watched DDE video's who constantly talk about their "rare gated manual" I suppose as i'm in the UK it's because manual cars here are pretty much the norm over automatics.
That's the thing. Lots of vehicles in North America are sans clutch pedal. Only 1 of the 4 cars I've owned were automatic (first one...intended to do an auto->manual swap) and I'm the only car within several blocks that have a manual. Depending on what State you're in, there are most certainly not common.

The one thing that attracted me to Aston Martins way back is the way the center stack curves up and over. I think it's the best looking of any car built.

I would like to see a compilation of just all the crazy phrases from the car trek show. Ed, has some some really outrageous and absolutely hilarious things. "That's as southern as speed dating at the family reunion" and many other things said by the guys throughout all the series. Great channels, awesome cars, congradulations to all of you for being able to do something so awesome, and successful. Many of us have dreamed of many of the cars you guys have been able to drive and review, even used or even flooded. It's been amazing to see how the cars are still able to perform, even with a lot of age and issues, and it's interesting to find out the estimates to bring the cars back up to fully operational specs. You should however, start making sure the ACs work in the cars, car treck sends you guys on some pretty long trips, and it usually looks like it's very hot outside. Staying cool and comfortable is important because in rather extreme heat, you could fall asleep suddenly behind a wheel of one of those cars. So it is a safety concern as well as a general comfort concern.

Great looking DBS. I've got a Q Spec one off Blue DBS and I love it. I have 360 degree camera and CarPlay thanks to Aston Installations, they also have a HD screen coming to replace that god awful Volvo SatNav screen, definitely worth checking them out
One of the most beautiful cars ever made. It's like looking at a Picasso....only better. I have a 2004 Mustang Cobra-the only car I have ever lusted over for an extended period of time. ~60k on the odometer, all but 3,300 from me. And most of those miles were hard miles! Only things that have needed replaced were the alternator, clutch, and tires.

I’m glad I had the opportunity to drive this car a couple of times (with the manual gearbox). Although it’s not the newest anymore I think it’s still the most beautiful car ever designed.
Being English I'm supposed to be pre-programmed to love Aston Martin cars. It is good looking definitely, but the original v8 vantage from the 70s/80s or the DB4 GT Zagato are the ones I would have. Aston have never really taken my fancy, I do have a weird liking for a Zagonda too

I’ve seen the rolled over Dbs at the London 007 museum and it still looks prettier than most cars.For me though the db5 is my favourite car of all time,due to the James Bond films as a kid and a guy at the end of our road in sw London had two of them,one a convertible.

Worry not about that Casino Royal rollover record. When they went to roll the car, they were unable to. They had to rig up a foot plate to an explosive charge to make it flip.

The one thing that attracted me to Aston Martins way back is the way the center stack curves up and over. I think it's the best looking of any car built.

Many of us have dreamed of many of the cars you guys have been able to drive and review, even used or even flooded.
It's been amazing to see how the cars are still able to perform, even with a lot of age and issues, and it's interesting to find out the estimates to bring the cars back up to fully operational specs.
You should however, start making sure the ACs work in the cars, car treck sends you guys on some pretty long trips, and it usually looks like it's very hot outside.
Staying cool and comfortable is important because in rather extreme heat, you could fall asleep suddenly behind a wheel of one of those cars.
So it is a safety concern as well as a general comfort concern.
Drove 1000 Mike with one on holiday And is An absolute dream to drive long distance. Congrats. 👍👍

I have 360 degree camera and CarPlay thanks to Aston Installations, they also have a HD screen coming to replace that god awful Volvo SatNav screen, definitely worth checking them out
One of the most beautiful cars ever made. It's like looking at a Picasso....only better. I have a 2004 Mustang Cobra-the only car I have ever lusted over for an extended period of time. ~60k on the odometer, all but 3,300 from me. And most of those miles were hard miles! Only things that have needed replaced were the alternator, clutch, and tires.
That cover car is a Vaydor G35. Like so everyone can see.

I'll accept his word for it, the best cars I've owned are a Honda Sport 600, 76 Eldorado, 80s RX7, 89 735i. I now drive a 2005 Toyota Highlander V6 4wheel drive. I want to turbocharge a slant 6.

I’m glad I had the opportunity to drive this car a couple of times (with the manual gearbox). Although it’s not the newest anymore I think it’s still the most beautiful car ever designed.
Being English I'm supposed to be pre-programmed to love Aston Martin cars. It is good looking definitely, but the original v8 vantage from the 70s/80s or the DB4 GT Zagato are the ones I would have. Aston have never really taken my fancy, I do have a weird liking for a Zagonda too
Right after watching this video I did a search for manual Aston Martins for sale. The very first one I looked at was final inspected by Mick Freeman. What are the odds!

The cheapest i could find was a 2008 23'000 miles for £74'000 so about $99'600. Definitely one of the best looking and sounding cars ever to be made.
Take it off the channel, put it in your home garage and take it out for a ride every once in a while on a sunny day. No cameras, just quality Tavarish time. You deserve it! 😉
I did really like Car Trek 1. That trio make for great hosts; probably the second best trio of car hosts after the original Top Gear guys.

I’ve seen the rolled over Dbs at the London 007 museum and it still looks prettier than most cars.For me though the db5 is my favourite car of all time,due to the James Bond films as a kid and a guy at the end of our road in sw London had two of them,one a convertible.
Astin Martin DB9 is my favorite car I'm in the market right now looking for the right one and it won't stay stock for long.

Worry not about that Casino Royal rollover record. When they went to roll the car, they were unable to. They had to rig up a foot plate to an explosive charge to make it flip.
