So dope seeing reviews like this, it's always great seeing people enjoying the game. We worked pretty hard on it. (I made the music for the game) The game from my personal standpoint shines in being in the constant tension of combat and stealth, having the goons alert all the time. It becomes a kind of chess position game after that, especially since the AI is more proactive and human than usual.
Xtrullor. So Happy to making an another Awesome Soundtracks here. This Original IV1 looks amazing from these Soundtracks. And the VIP Version, Looks more Gunfight and More Awesomeness. Really Happy to getting good for making these Soundtracks out there, Xtrullor. I'm very proud of you.
was already considering trying this out but now i've definitely got to get this game knowing you worked on it. i remember listening to your tracks on newgrounds a decade ago!
Thanks for the sound design, music is great but did you also do the weapon and other sounds ? Because they are great ! I keep hearing the sound of equipping stuff and putting the body armour on in my sleep hahaha, I played too much 😅
@@TheSADHU88 I only worked on the soundtracks, ambients and stuff. There's just a few SFX I made, but they are related to soundtrack transitions anyway - like for when all enemies are killed from the level, exiting combat, so on.
Also, on the true difficulty, guards will notice when their friends are not at their positions after a while, which is really neat that higher difficulties make enemies smart instead of just being able to see across the map. Roman did a really good job on this

There aren't many good stealth games. I'd include Intravenous as one of few good stealth games. I'll get the second one at some point. My backlog is unreal.
Funnily enough there ARE innocent guards in the game and there’s also guards who are mercenaries in disguise etc The plot of this game involves a corrupt cop which is pretty sick lore wise.
This looks cool. I wish there was a fog of war and you could only see what the character's line of sight sees. Maybe add something signaling what he hears too? The ability to see all the map with all the enemies is too OP.
As someone who plays both games trust me even with all the extra information the game is still brutal. Thankfully the dev wants to punish us more and he’s adding Fog of War soon :3
Just bought it and i'm loving it. It's one of the best stealth games out there. Story is nice, the gameplay on true difficulty is really challeging and the devs do respond on the Steam community. To me is a 8/10 game
Not yet ready to bite the bullet but put it on my wishlist on top spot. Care to try to sell it to me outright? How long is the game, how replayable it is...etc?
@@anteshell i'm 16 hours in (first playthrough on "true" difficulty) and i think i've about 60/70% of the missions, what made the game for me is the AI, it's very very sharp for a stealth game. For what i've seen (i don't want to spoil myself too much) it has at least three endings, that makes for a lot of content. If you're on the edge there's a free game on Steam called "Intravenous 2: Mercenarism" that acts a a prologue to this game, download it and play, if you like you'll definetely enjoy the full game
@@kareningram6093 i think i'm being too harsh on the judgement, but: (i) there are some bad problems with 13th and 14th gen intel processors ( not the game's fault but i've read one of the devs saying that for IV2 it is more noticeable than other games); (ii) i've found some AI bugs (pathfind, NPCs softlocking, etc) but i admit that they're pushing upgrades everyday; (iii) the weapon variety and customizing is extremely good but at the end of the day they're almost the same judging by categories (all rifles are pretty similar, just like the shotguns); and some other minor stuff like the graphics of some objetcs (example "compromising material") are hard to see in the level. Don't get me wrong, as a pixelated stealth, top camera game IV2 is a 10/10. As a game, in a universe where witcher 3, Skyrim, Hades, Legend of Zelda BoTW, etc exists i think it is a 8/10.
You know what, this game is too much more funnier than Intravenous 1, just like a Radio Icon. Probably I love any load out in any Suppressed Weapons. Enemy Dialogues are too Hilarious. Shooting a Breaker Box will get Electrical Explosion. And also, Shooting a Wooden Doors will Actually break. (If you go Guns N' Blazing) A different Endings is more likely to decide to do. Anyway, I Love this Game So Much 10/10 I'm really happy to make a Masterpiece.
Apperently the Devs are working on or considering a FoW option. Although, the immersion is broken just due to the fact that it is a 3rd person game in the first place and I doupt that will get any options anytime soon. Dishonored is the only first person stealth game that I can think of but that breaks immersion in other ways.
@@sithalo That would be great, because as it stands right now, with you being able to see and ambush every enemy, I would completely scrap any stealth or caution, and just Rambo the level in no time.
That's kinda necessary due to gameplay purpose. Consider the fact that enemies can see you standing still in dark from far outside your screen, you will need information about them. Actually when making Intravenous 1 the devs says they consider an Fog of War option, but that makes game unplayable. If you interested, you can download the demo and set the ZOOM level to the maximum, that is similar to what you want.
Considering how the first game just had you slaughtering drug addicts like they were a hive mind gang, I'm not surprised the second one also has a goofy and dumb story.
Truly magnificent game, passed it already twice on the true difficulty. Using fully moded ak107 and glock18, along with the heaviest plate carrier and all sorts of explosives. Take out as much goons as I can by stealth, then setup anti personnel mines and clear out the whole map. The game is the closest one to actually feel like John Wick game.
I wish more developers did this kind of things with the AI. Just as standard across the board. It's interesting. Feels like there should be a vision cone? But I'm not sure if not being able to track all the enemies anywhere would change the game too much.
This looks interesting, but i think it would be more so if you could not see enemies coming around corners. They should have just had subtle noise indications or something to keep the realism up. Same with seeing enemies through walls. There should be some item you possess to allow this, and give it a cooldown of some sort.
At this point in the genre, top-down stealth games like this shouldn't allow you to see the entire building in god-mode-like fashion. There should be an option to only see what your field of vision pans towards, such as in Project Zomboid, leaving everything outside of your view as blank/black. It takes the tension and long-term level strategy away knowing that you simply sit and watch for the enemy AI to go through its action loop before you sneak around it.
@@ancientsociety79 the first playthrough on "true" difficulty will take somewhere around 20 hours, and the game has at least three endings, makes for a lot of content
