I love it. You are able to tell a story in less than 3 min. A story what makes me thinking to go to Costa Rica sometimes for shooting with my D5. I am a Photographer only today and never filmed. I think I am missing something here. Thanks for the inspiring movie, Aaron.
Congratulations on a beautiful, evocative video. As a wildlife photographer with a D5 and a D500, I've been considering using both cams in between safaris to make videos and your video sets the bar so high. Wonderful!
This video makes me want to go to Costa Rica or Equador, however, I will probably skip the D5 since I have a D4 and wait for the D850 since I don´t want two sports cameras, rather one sport/action and one landscape (that fulfills different purposes)
Hi Aaron beautiful work with your D5, i also own a D5 and i think it's a very capable camera for wildlife photo and video, could i ask if you're using an external recorder for the video? Thanks Francesco
Awsome work indeed, however I was wondering if you find the DR not near as good as the D4 or D4s. I have 2 D4 cameras and now a third the D5. I had to go back to D4 when shooting in bright day during sports. The DR is terrible......thanks
+Michael Kelly Michael, the D5 does seem to have a deficit in DR below ISO 800 in comparison to other high end Nikon cameras. A bit of a trade off for the other features I guess.
If Nikon makes a camera like the d810 with comparable 4k to the a6300 and a hybrid viewfinder(or evf)I would switch in a heartbeat. Anyhow what is the bird at 2:07? So cool.
Amazing video! You got some gorgeous shots. We spend a lot of time filming around Costa Rica and it takes a lot of time and patience for wildlife (some days they're there, some days, crickets). Excellent work!
Spectacular footage.....music is perfect choice. This guy is the MAN.
+Jean Hall Thanks Jean. I had an amazing time hosting you in Costa Rica. See you in Antarctica ;)

Aaron, this is truly amazing. The music is great, the artistry is greater....
Thanks Jeff!

Henrik,
I'm looking forward to the D850 too!
D850s out and it looks awesome.

Francesco, I shot most of the footage internally using the flat picture style and did a bit of grading in post.
So beautiful. Wow. What lens ?
Hey thank you. I shot this with a Nikkor 600mm f4, 80-400, and 105mm 2.8 macro.
Very beautiful video. i didn't like only one thing: just 2 minutes.... many thanks.
Great footage and love the music going along with it. Anybody know the artist or title of this track?

Your videos don't get as much credit as they should get, keep up the good work. :)
Thanks Pol!
Outstanding video :) what’s the music? Any link for it ?

Hey, I agree Nikon needs some epic video cameras with evf! The bird is a resplendent quetzal.
Definitely, and thanks love it.
skatertwig26 yeap, EVF should be there

Lens for macaw birds shot??
Is the 4K full frame or is there a crop?
Hey, the 4k is about a 1.5 crop on the sensor. I don't mind for telephoto work.
Wow
The D5 is out of reach for the budget I have ;o; *cry*
I said exactly the same thing 3years ago, and now, i have my D5, and it's just a monster and i'm happy with it ! ^^ hopefully we have the patience ^^'
Супер!
