I also gave the book 5 stars! I was thoroughly entertained! I completely understand the problems that have been discussed and on a lot of levels I can totally agree! But I was vibing with this story from beginning to end! 😊🌙🔥

I also felt annoyed with the apathy of Bryce towards Hunt. She wasn't as compassionate as she should have been, but then when I got closer to the end. I felt like it was intentional because Bryce gave up everything, even Hunt to change the world. It came up alot throughout the book, the question of sacrificing the world to save the person you love or sacrificing the person you love to save the world. Bryce definitely should have been more emotionally invested in her mate, but if she did, maybe she would not have been able to move forward, just like Hunt was apprehensive to do the right thing because he was more invested in a life with Bryce.

Five stars from me! I was kicking my feet when I realized she was in front of Az! Towards the middle of the book, the one thing that kept annoying me was that all the brilliant ideas came from Bryze. I wish Hunt and Run blew readers' minds with their cleverness, not just Bryce.

I finished this last night and I'm so far feeling underwhelmed. The first half of the book was WAY better than the second half. (Spoilers below)
The crossover that was teased at the end of CC2 left me disappointed, no Rhysand/Feyre really, Bryce doesn't see the Night Court at all, the two people she interacts with are Nesta and Azriel?? Then she is back in Midgard...what?
I agree I like Ruhn/Lidia more than Bryce/Hunt...Hunt is not my favourite character honestly.
The second half of this book felt reeeeally rushed. The Ithan/Sigrid/Sabine story was just rushed through and oh, Ithan is Prime now...what? The Tharion story line was rushed, and almost unnecessary the way it was presented.
The "bullet"...wth, that was a useless part of the plot really.
The battle with the Asteri at the end was very underwhelming for me.
The fact that Bryce gave everything up, the whole "the Fae have to change" and then she just washes her hands of it...was just weird to me.
A lot of this book could have been in Book 4, and brought in the 4th house, and had the final battle in Book 4...missed opportunity to me.

Defently I wanted so much more of the book it feelt rushed and dragged out at the Same time. I wanted a book of power ups, of learning , of understanding the Fae and their culture.
The battel at the end felt so low stake because almost no one died. It would have been better if they killed maybe just one Asteri and then the others in the next book or if they just took away the "food source". Then there would have been time for another side plot in wich we convince the ocan queen to rescue Viktoria.
I wasn't the biggest fan of the Thriion plotline but hopefully it was build up for book 4, because there is some unfinished business with the Viperqueen

You're totally right i didn't like the book because my expectation were to high. I wanted Bryce to really learn how to use her powers in Prythian, i wanted a trainig montage with the inner circel. I hoped that she would vist hell and explore it. It fellt so low stake because no one died. The way Bryce treated Hunt was an absolut no go for me, she basicly told him that his feelings arent valid and that he should be only what she wants (not the umbra mortis, not a son of hell, not a leader of the angels) Ithan could have had a better arc it felt like he Sarah realized while writing that he was dedtined to become the prim and that she messed up by introducing another fendyr. I wanted more bad ass from Hypexia it felt like she was reduced to just a posion maker, i wanted her in the final battel with her new powers and as the head of the house. I hope that the next book focuses on Ithan and ariadne. (Of course i want more of Rhun and Lydia but I'm content with their happy end.)

Have you read the bonus chapter for Ruhn & Lidia? It was sooo good. I can totally see where you are coming from with all these points too. I would have loved to of seen Bryce in hell too 🤭

Part of me is really excited for another book for Throne of Glass series but I also feel like we had a nice conclusion to the series, especially with it already having many books in the series itself. Depends on what the context of that book is set on.

I agree. I’m really excited but also am content with how the series wrapped up 🤭 although I would love a Manon & Dorian story.

Girl, I just found your channel and you read my mind on most of your points.
I felt the same way about Nesta. I couldn't stand Nesta in any of the acotar books, but she grew on me as well in this book.
I love Ruhn and Lidia too!! They were the couple I was dying to read about again, after Hunt and Bryce.
And again, I agree with you about the Hunt and Bryce of book 1 were waaaaaay better than book 2 or 3. I especially hate that she has the audacity to complain about him not wanting to continue with the mission, and about him feeling guilty. My gawd!! Just that alone ruined Bryce's character for me. I know SJM is all about strong females ruling the world, but she didnt have to disrespect Hunt by reducing him down to Bryce's lapdog. Smh.

Its never been confirmed that elaines book is next. I think its another nesta book. Bryce says something to nesta that i think very blatantly sets up the next acotar book for Nesta. Feyre did get 3 dedicated books

    • @bookswithkiki
      @bookswithkiki  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

I don’t think it will be Nesta’s book. I feel like her story was told and there’s only going to be 6 books for the series. I guess we’ll see tho I could be wrong and the next one could be nesta and then Elaine’s but I feel like with the bonus content we got after silver flames the next book may come from that 🤷🏻‍♀️

I can't find where I saw this 😭 it was the week where all these interviews were coming out with the launch of HOFAS. I've tried searching for it to link but I can't seem to find anything. I hope I didn't misread anything now 😅

Is this the last Crescent City book?

There is a 4th apparently but it's a 'future' book, not sure how that will work.

This is the last book for Bryce & Hunt and wraps up their story. Sarah has confirmed there will be more CC books but not anytime soon ☺️ I think the next ones will focus on other characters. Kind of what she did with the ACOTAR series ☺️

@@bookswithkiki Reading the end of CC3 i am not sure how a fourth book will be appealing. The interesting characters are dead (Danika) or their story is wrapped up (Lidia and Rhun). Honestly, Tharion, Ithan, and Ariadne are boring. Maybe their stroryline is ok for one chapter but for a whole book; Definetely not.
