Totally agree about the dump and fill stations. They may have been fine 30 years ago but usage is much heavier now. Some parks have been updated but big parks like that need to be redone asap.

      Absolutely. Thanks for watching.

Sandbanks is set up pretty good. Separate fill and dump stations at main entry and proper rv fill stations at the individual sections.
It’s even worse now because of the shortened reservation system at the big 5. The turnover causes a lot more traffic.

We had nickel sized hail Thursday night at Killbear, luckily no damage. We did have a widow maker fall at the edge of our site. I’m just glad we didn’t have a shoreline site!

Hey fellow camper! Missed you guys this year! We are heading to pinery for Halloween weekend and it’s gonna be real cold, where did you end up getting all that wood? We’re gonna need lots.

Hey Brian, ya it was a busy year for us and didn’t get out camping as much as we hoped. Maybe next year we’ll run into each other again.
The Pinery for Halloween eh? That sounds cool.
The wood is from a farm nearby. it’s maybe 20 min outside the park. It’s worth the drive for his wood and his prices. Nice dry wood.
The guy’s name is Matt and if you email me I’ll give you his contact info.

love your videos. have been watching for awhile. Question about mikisew as i know you’ve been there a few times. Any good place to get firewood outside the park ?

Thanks for the support. I’m sure there are places around there to get wood other than the park. We got ours from the store down the street just outside the park called Eagle Lake store (or something like that).

We were there this summer tenting and rain pretty much every day, so we want to upgrade to a travel trailer do you have any advice specifically RV insurance? Look forward to see your response! Thank you in advance!

We’re certainly no expert in the insuring of RVs but we can say that we got ours insured through the same company as our auto insurance. I would start with that and go from there.
When you’re towing it it’ll fall with your auto policy and when it’s off your vehicle and parked or being used it’ll be in it’s own policy.
