people who are pissed at them for not keeping the dogs: sometimes people cannot take on 2 large dogs into their lifestyle at certain times in life. those dogs will find good homes because they are super friendly and beautiful. no worries, dont demonize jenna and julien geeze. not trying to be a troll but damn.

Destruct The Construct don't stress it. People will find something to be nasty about. My Mom works at a shelter and she gets harassed basically. Accused of not caring about animals lives. But the people making accusations don't look at the root of the issue, and that's because of people who get dogs and throw them away. Or don't fix their animals, and we're left with millions of dogs without a place to call home. None of the people who commented mean stuff ran out to go adopt those dogs. People need to stop playing the blame game, and if it bothers them that bad then they better be at a shelter volunteering or fostering dogs/cats themselves. Animals are family. Julien and Jenna make it very obvious that they feel the same.
yea , i hope they at least got homes together. They got so attached to jenna and everything it was so sad. Maybe they will see them again.. some how.
I honestly think it was great that they took them in for the night and even took them on a walk before they had to go back. A lot of people would not put that much effort into dogs that weren't their own. Also hopefully this vlog contributed to these dogs finding a new home for the both of them.
To all the people saying they should adopt them, five dogs is a lot. Really difficult and really expensive, and against their landlords wishes. Sometimes you need to be realistic
Stephanie Eckl I feel like Sydney would be good for them because she's older and relaxed, but to separate them is too heart breaking :( I hope a kind and caring dink family member can take them so we can maybe get updates.
It's also really good that they happened to find them bc look at the exposure these the two doggies got-they're sure to be adopted (and most likely together too)! I feel like Jenna and Julien would be amazing foster parents, plus you know anything they fostered would be adopted very fast :)
Stephanie Eckl I know first hand. I have five dogs and they are all getting older and it's a big responsibility emotionally and money wise. One has brain cancer which cost me around $12,000. Another one has heart disease and the other one which is the father to three of the dogs ( it was an accident 12 yrs old and we kept the puppies) is 16 and now has high blood pressure.
and with them traveling a lot too, it's hard.

It seems the best place, or the best people a fortunate dog can run into, is CJ and Jenna. We (or some of us) saw that in the vlog from BigBear where they picked up the runaway stray from the road, and found the owner there aswell.

Wow something I love about you guys is that you're so real. As soon as I watched the last vlog of the dogs I was like wow those are beautiful and kind dogs I don't know how I could ever give them back to their owner I would want to keep them and now seeing that you struggled with that is such an awesome thing to see, that the people I watch from a far and admire as humans that I don't know (which is such a weird concept because I don't know you but I feel like I do) are in fact human. Idk weird concept to feel so relatable. I've always felt relatable to julien because I also have celiac but now I'm just like wowowow okay I love these people because they are genuine. That's awesome. I know this is long and wordy and stupid and no one is going to read this but yeah basically what I'm trying to say is thank you julien and Jenna for just being you.

The compassion and love you both have for animals is amazing. Anyone who knows you two personally must have two of the most kind and caring friends. Those two dogs are so lucky you found them.

I really hope this highlights the importance that people should adopt rather than go out and buy puppy there are so many dogs that need a loving home.
The GREAT thing about Archer/Archie is that he definitely is trainable.
He does have a higher level of energy, but with walks, I could definitely see him chilling out.
However, that is a bit worrisome, as you both are still recovering from the accident. Julien seems to be in the best condition legs wise, and while I know Jenna would if she could, it might put a strain on her knee, since I don't know wtf is up with it or its condition.
Jullen(like sullen, but jullen)'s shoulder is also really really in a bad way. His previous injury alone was an issue he had to deal with, but this recent car accident really just kinda solidified that these two dogs just aren't in the cards for either of you. I can definitely see Archer learning not to pull on you, but you're still in a lot of pain from just living, so I don't think either of you should risk your own body to try and give these two EXCELLENTLY BEHAVED dogs.
But on the bright side, It's ABUNDANTLY likely that they'll get adopted. Archie's not aggressive, his problems are SO EASILY SOLVABLE.
However, I'm still hurting inside at the possibility of him not being adopted just because he has a few quirks, and it just. It's a 100% TRAINABLE ISSUE.
ARCHIE. IS. TRAINABLE YOU GUYS. GIVE HIM A CHANCE. DONT GIVE UP ON HIM.

@@emcanspell i think he's talking about other people adopting him because he did explain why j n j cant adopt them because of their injuries, but he's afraid of other people seperating them because of archie's energy and he's saying that he's trainable and should be adopted aswell, at least thats what i understood

Awe Julien, just think about how grateful the dogs probably are for you and Jenna! Lost dogs always find their way to my house every year (we had 6 just this year alone) and it's always so hard having to let them go. Always great to find the owner but man, how quickly you grow attached to them. Definitely consider adopting an older dog! They make the greatest of friends.
i just want to thank you for these vlogs. it was my birthday yesterday on the 19th and it wasnt the best birthday, but watching these vlogs, yours and jennas, helped me feel better. i love you guys :^)

Im glad you guys took the dogs in :). We live on a country road, people drop animals off all the time. A few months ago, a whole litter of kittens who looked barely weaned. We couldnt be more than three feet away and they would run. So we had to leave them outside with a box with a blanket inside, and some food and water. All of the litter dissapeared, and we were dissapointed because we were going to try to take them to a no kill shelter. Fast forward to today- One of the kittens is still here, and we are working on socalization now :) we are finally able to pet it, and have a home figured out once we get it to a vet.

There's nothing wrong with breeding dogs. Yes, shelter dogs need homes, but so do pure breeds. Would you tell people to not have children, but adopt them instead?
@@sailormoonstone5172 It's not that they're less deserving, it's that when you buy dogs you're typically contributing to puppy mills, which keep dogs in terrible conditions and have mother's birth puppies at an outrageous rate just to make money, and then get rid of them as soon as they can't have any more puppies

amyp.jpg don't worry adoption agencies have a pretty thorough screening process they wouldn't give them to anyone they felt couldn't handle it or just wanted them because Jenna and Julian had them :).

you also need to know a good rescue wouldn't give a dog away to just anyone . You need to have references usually to prove you're good at having pets , as well as filling out papers and talking to someone about your plan on where the dogs will be indoor or outdoor etc and if they don't like what you have to say they will easily deny you. I worked at a shelter and we never just gave pets to anyone.

for dogs who pull like Archer (mine does), the best thing is to use the Premier Easy Walk harness. It's not cruel like a choke collar and it won't let them pull and it doesn't hurt them. I would never be able to walk my dog without it.

Mermaid Magic Uhm, a choker is not cruel... It gives them a squeeze, and if you use it right, it will NOT choke them. The only reason it chokes them would be if you are not correctly using the collar/it is on backwards. I've been in a dog training class for going on 3 years. A cruel collar would be the pronged collar. It stabs the animal in the neck and can break the skin
Harnesses actually encourage more pulling to happen, since your putting it around their chest (and their chest is the strongest part of the body)
It's not like a standard harness. It goes around them sort of like a t-shirt and the loop for the leash to attach to is stationary and at the front of the collar part. So what happens when they try and pull is it turns them around to face you. The dog learns very quickly that they can't pull and will walk by your side.
With at least some dogs, you can train them not to pull, regardless of what they are wearing. You stop walking whenever they pull and only continue forward when they don't pull (I forget if you're supposed to tell them no when they pull). The dog is only pulling because they like the walk and they want to keep walking, but by teaching them not pulling is the only way they get what they want, they stop doing it. My dog used to always pull when I first got her, but by using that she doesn't pull anymore (even in her harness). It takes time, persistence, and looking weird only moving a few feet at a time, but it can work.
it's crazy how quickly we as people like fall in love with dogs. so quickly. quicker than people. like my friend could come over and i wont see her for a year and it's fine but i'm gona be thinking about those dogs for months

Guys... they're beautiful dogs, but they said that the landlord wouldn't allow any more animals. And I think I read somewhere that there's a rule in California that you can't have 5 dogs, and if you want more, you have to get some special license? Idk; I just hear about this from my friend in San Francisco. I mean, the police aren't gonna check each and every house in California for rule breakers, but I know there's a fine if you get found out.
maybe i'm just emotional but the dogs made me cry. i lost my dog (named sydney) about 6 months ago and this sydney reminds me so much of my own. then archer reminds me of my grandparents dogs, archie, both with his name and his looks. seeing you guys interact with dogs that strike so close to home with me brought a tear to my eyes and i hope they get the best home! (even if it can't be with you guys.)
If y'all can't take them, I'd love to see a friend of yours who could, because they're really bonded together.

It's always hard being such an animal lover, finding animals and watching them overnight, then having to give them up the next day. They find a trust in you, then you have to give them away, and they don't understand why... but you know it's for the better. It's bittersweet. At least you guys had the sense to know you couldn't take them on permanently.

You guys are regular dog saints. Not only are you sweet, patient, and caring with your own dogs, you have love and affection towards every dog and do everything you can to help a pup in need. I feel like not enough people in the world are like that.
Rescued an Australian cattle dog mix a few years ago and was her forever home. THE BEST pups. My lady was so sweet, just like Sydney.

My 5 month puppy just ran away. I miss her so much!! Im glad you found these dogs before they could have fallen into the wrong hands! hopefully a good family adopts these lovely dogs!
One time we found a big and small dog that were SO well behaved and knew every trick I could think of. It was during the winter so we brought them inside and they were so fun. I am so happy you did this

You two are my favorite TH-camrs of all time. It warms my heart to see you two take in those dogs & get so attached. Not to mention you two are just so damn down to earth. I'm not a vegan in any means but the food you two cook looks delicious. I want to grab it through the screen & eat it. Oh, my mom has that same exact rice cooker. Isn't it awesome??
