Charles Spencer and Diana had a big falling out before she died. She wanted a private Summer home and asked Charles to let her use a house on the Spencer estate. Charles refused because he didn't want the spotlight on him.
Harry has a false idea of Diana's life. He sees sadness and tragedy, but Diana was away from the boys constantly.

Harry remembering his mother is good, but he needs to move forward. Many, many children lose their mother at a young age and grow up just fine. He is using her name to make money. If he wants to do something about his mother death, then stop blaming the media and start going after the real cause of his mother died… DRUNK DRIVING.

It’s amazing to me that William has grown into such a poised, caring and empathetic man as he was used as a confidante and sounding board by his mother from such a young age. Many youngsters would have crumpled under the pressure. Harry has nothing to complain about, he was ‘spared’ all that drama.
I credit Charles for the most part and in fact William is more like his Dad than his mother, despite having qualities from both
Plus the influence of Catherine’s stable family background, which I feel really benefitted William once he & Catherine got together. The stability and support Middletons have given William & Catherine plus the children should never be underestimated.

I don’t think William should be blamed for the way Hary feels William was a 15 year old boy. It wasn’t his job to take care of Hary. William had enough pressure from his grandmother and mother. They do, they have a relationship with both, Sarah was at the air Base the following week when William had an engagement there, she wanted to give him support. The aunts are very decent, don't pick sides, get on with the royals, uncle Charles hates the King and blames the royals for his sister's death, despite Charles and Diana getting on really well after they divorced. If she'd asked her ex husband for a remote place to stay that summer, he'd have arranged it and she may well still be alive today.

I have a hard time feeling that Harry and his wife should come back to England and act like nothing has happened. I think most people feel that Princess Diana would have been appalled and heartbroken with what H and M did on Oprah and his book (how he treated Prince William and Princess Catherine). Being able to trust them would be very difficult. People keep forgetting that siblings (male or female) rarely ever get along all of the time.
IF Diana’s brother said no to Diana they’ll be in the same boat if they let Henry and Rachel stay with them if not worse.

They are still the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and Prince Henry and Princess Henry. It takes an act of Parliament to remove the titles, and Parliament simply has not done it.

On the other hand, Diana was always sending Harry to the nursery for dinner and keeping William with her in order to have dinner on trays together while watching TV in her bedroom. The housekeeper at Highgrove mentioned this repeatedly. That alone would cause the feelings of being the "spare" .... Harry seems to have whitewashed his mother in his memories and villainized everyone else.

Diana made Wills her confidante when her marriage was on the rocks and moaned to him about how badly the Royals were treating her....not a good role for a pre-teen / early teenager. Harry is about as sensitive as a box of rocks....he used to run around kicking the security guards and then screaming that they couldn't do anything about it because he was a Prince. Diana thought it was hilarious, and Harry was never punished for it. ONce when Harry was 9 or 10, Charles and Diana came back from a Royal tour, and the boys ran to greet them. Wills was faster, so he got the first hug. Harry was so angry that he kicked Wills as hard as he could....his parents didn't do anything that time either, because they were all on camera. Charles, Diana, and the boys were visiting Canada in 1991 but the boys stayed behind while their parents were completing Royal engagements. When they returned to the HMS Brittannia, you could see that Diana was joyful to see her boys. She ran onboard and swooped William up for a big hug. Then she hugged Harry. Harry resented that she had given William the first hug, so he walked over and kicked William in the shin. It's on the film.
I remember Ingrid Seward commenting that Harry told Diana he wanted her "all to himself." He would sneak in her bed early in the morning to cuddle with her. Seems that Harry was always insecure and had an unhealthy attachment to his mother. That's why he's still the little prince who never grew up. Emotionally he's still 12 years old.

We are now witnesses to the brothers' relationship as grown men - a relationship that's currently nonexistent thanks to Harry. He made it his mission in life to publicly denigrate William's integrity and diminish his image, not to mention what he said about Catherine. It's absurd to think that after TV interviews, a memoir, and a documentary that William would be willing to let bygones be bygones. Harry should stay in his Montecito kingdom forever or until such time that he makes a public apology for the lies and criticism that he spewed on the world stage. He not only hurt William and Catherine, he broke his dear Grandmother's heart. That's deplorable and evil.
As an Australian, I am more empathic of Harry than our cuzzies in ol Blighty! I see him as the victim of a narcissistic personality, coercive control abuser. I havn't read 'Spare' but have heard he states William is trapped but it's Harry who is now trapped by the short and curly hairy Harry Ballzaks.(I'm an Auzzie, my birthright duty to be so crass)
Harry has access with his children and all of his inheritance to lose, if he leaves Megalomaniac behind in the US. His life was too sheltered from the schemes of the Plebians.
It would be wonderful if Harry had the maternal family support & a safe place away from his paternal family's personal space. Maybe both families can work on a repair & reconcile their longstanding differences. That would be an excellent role model for the standard of Commonwealth Society.
