I just got the wireless adapter that lets me use this app on my Orion Autotracker and I love it because the app adds so many features to a pretty bare bones tracker. Though that said, I'd love to see the app gain the ability to send extra movement pulses to the mount so as to help compensate for its subpar tracking by nudging the mount back in the right direction. You know, kind of like what a guide scope does. Granted, it wouldn't be as accurate as a guide scope, but that said, any extra time on a target, equals more time for longer exposures, and if I can get that extra time from an app versus a thousand dollar mount, I'll take it.
Can you please demonstrate how the polar alignment feature in the app works? I imagine it doesn’t do it automatically. But it would be nice to see how it works.
Thanks for reviewing some of the advanced features of the app. Although you didn't click into it, at 4:40 I noticed there's an option in the Advanced menu for Polar Alignment that allows you to polar-align the mount even if you don't have a polar scope attached to the mount, sort of like Celestron's All Star Polar Alignment aka ASPA. (Until now I had though the polar re-alignment procedure was exclusive to the SynScan hand controller.)

Six month's later, still crashing on Android 11. Star-Adventurer is selling the Starguider 2i touting it's WiFi abilities with software that doesn't even open on Android and has very poor reviews on Apple, but at least opens on my old iPhone 6 Plus.. Take a pass on any product where this software is needed or you want as a feature.

I've just sorted it out, I searched for synscan app on Google, my 1st option was for skywatcher.com/download/software/synscan-app/ go on that link and it'll give you the update, mine works perfectly now.

What is the difference between North Level alignment and 2 star alignment?

Hi Team Orion, the app crashes with Android 11 and does not start up . Know when a fix might be out ?

@@oriontelescopes Thanks and I believe I need to buy a counterweight as well so the tube doesn't slide up due to the weight of the smartphone

HELP Hope someone discovers this comment. When i press on the "Point and go" in the app it says "No Orientation senor" what does that mean?
It sounds like location services are not enabled, make sure your location services are turned on, and the app has permission to access them.
This app crashes and won't open for anyone.
