Is 3 o'clock implied in Paulie's visit to Tony in the hospital? This is the perspective when Tony offed Chrissy. For me that was his character flip from "good dad in bad world" to total sociopath. That's why the panic attacks stopped. He lost all conscience.
@@tear728 Man that's incredible, you watch the entire series god knows what 30 times and still notice little details like that. "When my time comes, will I stand up?"
@@tear728 I would only add to this point that shooting with live clocks is a nightmare typically for continuity concerns because takes obviously take much longer than the scene being portrayed so if you choose to include one you’re also tasking some poor Set Decorator to go wind back or reset every clock after every take, which is why the hands and/or numbers are rarely shown in tv or film. The clock shot as Paulie enters Tony’s room seems to not only center it’s focus temporarily on the clock but also linger for a second like a clue for the viewer and is a great possible read of the hospital scene and it’s characters all kind of playing the opposite roles in the final scene. Paulie is actually kind of responsible for saving Tony’s life here and Meadow being his point of focus brings him back to realty..while many believe Paulie probably killed Tony in the final scene and he was distracted looking around for Meadow trying to see her walk through that door one more time for him.
Given how long the shows been over and how many deep dives into the show there are out there, there’s surprisingly VERY LITTLE content diving into the 3 am thing.....
A few thoughts: Paulie keeps warning Tony about three o'clock and ironically it would be Paulie who murders Tony at the end at his three o'clock angle and being the third person he's suspicious of as he enters. The number three is also seen a lot in the Gospels concerning the death and resurrection of Christ. Also the apparition which Paulie sees is quite frightening even though it should be comforting. The reason for this might be because he realises that his actions are being watched and judged by God and knows that he is en-route to hell.
3 o’clock doesn’t have just one meaning. His time for therapy. Members only guy. If a clock is counting down once it’s at 3 o’clock it means time is almost up. 9 = 3x3. Also on a clock, 9 is at the opposite of 3 o'clock. It means that Tony's life started at 9 AM - his mob life - and ended at "3 o'clock" ? Also Junior in an episode said "These things goes by 3" (about symbolism, death etc).
When I was in school, I sometimes heard about a fight between 2 students that was going to happen. At my school, the flagpole was where the fight would happen. And it would happen at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. Right at the end of the school day. This is how I can relate to 3 o'clock the most.
But he did anyways. He and his son were in a position where Tony suspected they had knowledge on Carlo and his son flipping his son wasn’t there at the dinner or at Tony’s house. Regardless of what you might think the hands are all there that he did it. You’re entitled to your opinion I’m just saying if you look in to the clues such as the fact in the final scene before his death Patsy looks like he had no respect for Tony, Plus he wanted to avenge his brother, you’re right he probably didn’t have a set but anyone in that position would have to kill Tony in order to save him and his son for being killed by him just in case Tony suspected they worked with the FBI

Is 3 o'clock implied in Paulie's visit to Tony in the hospital? This is the perspective when Tony offed Chrissy. For me that was his character flip from "good dad in bad world" to total sociopath. That's why the panic attacks stopped. He lost all conscience.
Great point
Look at the clock on the wall... it's 230 when Paulie walks in, 315 when Tony comes back
@@tear728 Man that's incredible, you watch the entire series god knows what 30 times and still notice little details like that.
Imagine hearing that your son beat up the son of a mobster. That would be terrifying
I'd be proud lol
@@idkbro6195and then you'd be buried

3 o’clock doesn’t have just one meaning. His time for therapy. Members only guy. If a clock is counting down once it’s at 3 o’clock it means time is almost up. But that example is outdated now because of stopwatches n timers on phones now. Also when he hears about three o clock Paulie is at his 3 o’clock. The guy who most likely had him knocked off.
Hey. Fancy seeing you here. LOL.
why do you think pauline knocked off tony?
most likely? seems like a pretty baseless theory to me
@@aaronlanham6534 not sure if I believe it but there is some evidence to suggest Paulie turncoated. As for the one to kill him, ehhh far fetched. Toward the end of the show Paulie is seen moving toward new york. You should watch some videos on it. Paulie is self serving toward himself, he's all about survival for himself.
Paulie sees the Virgin Mary and doesn't change his ways. He's for sure not going to purgatory
He can’t just change his ways or he dies he’s in the mob people can’t just check out unless they get too old
the Members Only jacket guy goes into the bathroom, which is on Tony’s “3 o clock” direction
Years before Sopranos even aired, I used to wake up every morning ... for at least a couple of years ... and it was always 3am or just minutes after. No reason. Even if I hadn't been dreaming. I'd stare over in the darkness at the LED alarm clock and it was always 3:00AM, or 3:03AM. I'd be back to sleep by 3:30AM. Happened for years. Then it passed.
Now I'm old and I wake up at 3:00AM still, and 4:00AM, and 5:00AM! XD
God damn prostate never had the makings of a varsity prostate...
Paulie's weakness is gone to hell and medium.
Wow, for me this cements sopranos as one of the best shows ever made. And it all comes full circle if you believe Tony got shot by the guy coming out of the bathroom at Tony’s 3 o clock
"You probably don't even hear it when it happens, right?"
Check it; in Goodfellas, when they went to Tommy's Mom's house that night and she made them dinner? The clock on the wall read 3 o'clock EXACTLY... I think it was a sly reference to that scene..
In the final scene the killer moves to Tony's "3 o'clock" when he shoots him. The bullet comes from his 3"oclock. I can't believe it.
5:13 actually recall that scaring me the first time I saw that
3:21 sounds Metallica´s King Nothing at the back

It is
Paulies the only one after chris who knew about 3 oclock which is why he OK'ed the members only hitman to take him out from 3 oclock....
Tony should have taken Paulie out on the boat when he had the chance.
Paulie became a snake over the years.
Jack Frost Just like tony told paulie about pussy.....He needed love and paulie never got it, history repeats.
Paulie didnt kill tony it was Patsy or someone from Eugene’s family
@@nickplays7636 I don't know. It could've also been Hesh...he had reason to kill Tony as well after his girlfriend died. He's even in the dream saying "3 O'Clock"....
Patsy probably ok'ed the decision to kill tony which was offered by Butch. Paulie must have known as well considering his last scene with Tony.
4:03 the clock reads 2:25 when Paulie sits down in the hospital next to Tony. You gotta figure he was running his mouth for at least 20 min. Then the machine goes bezerk and Tony goes into cardiac arrest. Another x minutes fighting to save him. Had he let go into the house in his dream, very possible he dies at 3 o’clock in the coma as well. Like fate is gonna get you one way or another
Also Paulie sits down at Tony’s 3 o’clock

Little Carmine mastermined taking over NY by killing Phil by having him go to war with Tony. Once Tony killed Phil, Carmine had Tony Killed to start new and "avenge" Phils death. Carmine then becomes new boss of NY with no opposition and Paulie takes over NJ.

3'0 clock is not a time thing, it's not 3AM, 3PM but 3'0 clock. It's a shot to the right head or coming from the side. Tony was hit from the 3'0 clock positions. Great references in this video !
Yes its like army thing from 3 clock
The guy on the bar is sit Tony's right and its 3 clock I mean AJ and Carmela is 12 oclock
Most people watch their 6 o'clock, which is what's behind them. Your 3 o'clock would be whatever is to your right, your right-hand man? I think the warning is about Christopher himself!
Surprising that the funeral home was able to find a coffin lid big enough, to fit over Christopher's natural canopy.
Wow AJ inherited his father's balls. He gets smashed in the face by a bigger kid but still gets stuck into the fight even with blood pouring out of his nose. He was unstoppable.
It was, tree o'clock. Message from some Druids.
I didn't understand the last one: Christopher's wake... What it has to do with "3 o'clock".

The hitman that killed Tony came out of the men's room on Tony's right - 3 O'clock on a clock face
They missed an opportunity to reinforce this in Many Saints. (spoilers ahead obviously)
When dickie says to Silvio “tell Tony holstens, tomorrow, 9am” to meet him before he gets whacked, I was hoping he would’ve said “holstens, 3 o clock”
9 = 3x3. Also on a clock, 9 is at the opposite of 3 o'clock. It means that Tony's life started at 9 AM - his mob life - and ended at "3 o'clock" ?
Also Junior in an episode said "These things goes by 3" (about symbolism, death etc).
3 o'clock is the angle from where the Guy in the Members Only jacket shot Tony in the end
this whole video is like one long dream sequence
Fuck that, i dont fell like im sitting at 12 oclock.

When I was in school, I sometimes heard about a fight between 2 students that was going to happen. At my school, the flagpole was where the fight would happen. And it would happen at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. Right at the end of the school day. This is how I can relate to 3 o'clock the most.

Tony gets shot from 3 O'clock compass range
Patsy did it.
@@nickplays7636 No, it was Paulie
