1:09 The Secret Garden, an three-part made-for-TV adaptation for the ABC Weekend Special that aired on the network's Saturday Morning block in November 1994 was originally released & distributed by ABC Video but promoted by Paramount in this promo.
Although I saw both Charlotte's Web and Race For Your Life, Charlie Brown as a kid, I've heard little to nothing about that animated Secret Garden movie. I can't even find it listed on Letterboxd. It's as if it never existed.
This was taken from paramount reissues of Nickelodeon Rugrats tales from the crib a babies gotta do what a babies gotta do Angelica the Devine Chuckie the brave the Santa experience and Passover 1996 vhs tapes
Some might prefer the 2006 live-action "Charlotte's Web" remake over the original, but as for me, I've seen both adaptations (yet I've always been rewatching the animated one).
Nah. The Chuck Jones animated release of How The Grinch Stole Christmas is the definitive version. The absolute benchmark. Voice casting, art style, narration (and choice of narrator), all of these aspects put together and you essentially have something that's superior to even the original written works. It's absolutely perfect.

Is the narrator Brian Cummings? Sounds just like him. This commercial reminds me of watching those Rugrats VHS tapes as a kid, makes me cry 😢
I thought I'd never see the words of this commercial again.
I remember seeing another version of this promo that only has Charlotte's Web & Race for Your Life, Charlie Brown.

I haven't seen Race for Your Life, Charlie Brown. Is it worth checking out?
Paramount show 🩵
I wouldn't label "Charlotte's Web" as a children's film. Yes, it's rated G but it's a very dark and emotional film.
I guess that MPAA thought that both the Hanna-Barbera & Nick versions of Charlotte's Web were clean enough to get the G-rating.

Charlottes Web (1973)
Race For Your Life Charlie Brown (1977)
The Secret Garden (1994)
Well, we all know Charlotte's Web & Peanuts.

How is “The Secret Garden” a paramount movie?
Good.
It isn't directly from Paramount, it's actually an ABC Video release. ABC was not owned by Disney until 1996.

I've heard that the 2006 Nick version is more true to the book than the 1973 Hanna-Barbera version.
@@joshmontemayor1212 I shall consider rewatching the 2006 one.
@@raymondpowers, honestly, Charlotte's Web is in the same category as The Grinch, meaning that the live action version is the definitive version.
