Don’t feel bad, born & raised in Texas- took Spanish all 4 years of HS and all I can get is some food, a beer & in trouble. Thanks for the giveaway, looks like an awesome setup!!
I tried every section of deep water I could find, never saw any fish. There was some scattered up in the shallower water but they wouldn't bite any of our jigs, so I'm not sure if they were crappie or bluegills. We heard the next day that this small reservoir all the crappie had moved to the other arm of the lake that we didn't try.
@Send It Jon Boats they do move around a lot. Unless they are spawning season, then they sit on the nests. They get picky on colors also. We have mudy water, so white and yellow are best here. Ultra light pole and real, with the smallest jig you can get will pull them out. They feel like a whale on ultra light and they like to fight.
Great videos, I've been binging them. Looking to put together a duck boat coming up this summer. You're videos will definently be watched a few more time. Keep them coming!
Crappie are usually deep this time of year but I have seen them in 6-8 foot of water and you have to fish slow with a jig head that has an under spin or just a good ol beetle spin jig Merry Christmas Bro 😊
This particular reservoir the fish were not deep at all. We didn't even see anything in water under 18 feet. We heard the next day from a fellow angler that most of the crappie had moved to another arm of the lake that we never tried.
Yea buddy I'd love to go fishing for crappie, but here in Tucson Az I dont even know where I can go for crappie. I know got Bass, cat fish carp, trout different kind in different places. But crappie have know idea.
Hey Chris I have a 14 foot aluminum jon boat and it needs a paint job how much paint is needed to do the inside and outside of the 14ft Jon boat it measures 32 and a half in at the bottom on the anxiously awaiting your reply have a blessed day
Im learning slowly but surely. This little lake was said "to be loaded". We watched a few other people fishing the same day and never saw anyone catch a fish.
@@SendItJonBoats don't feel bad. I haven't caught a single fish in my last 4 outing. But the last 2 I didn't have any boat issues ...... so that's a plus.
@@SendItJonBoats I mainly fish out of a 20 ft pontoon right now. Mainly because I have free use of it and I need to get my 1950 lonestar 14 ft aluminum deep v job boat registered with tpwd. It's hasn't been since 1978.

Small 1/8 or 1/16 Oz jigs. Twist tails or skirts. Get them deep this time of year.

You ever run a surface drive. Would like to know what you think about them.
I have run a few, and I like them. They are just expensive. One day I will get around to doing a review on some surface drives.
Crappie is just like bass fishing just with smaller lures.

Hi totally unrelated to this video but what size motor would you put on a 16 foot flatback canoe
13hp if it can handle it.
Please stay on land and a kick ass looking boat tho. Crappie are number 1 fish to eat in my book.
Thats why I want to catch them, they are so good to eat. Hopefully we can keep trying and find them soon so I can have a fish fry.
