Waterbury, Connecticut, often referred to as the brass city! Waterbury used to be the brass capital of the world with over 50,000 brass workers. Don’t let them fool you..I live in Waterbury and it sucks there is absolutely nothing to do every 5 seconds you hear police sirens somebody getting shot etc...and it don’t matter what side of town you live on

I lived in the Bunker Hill area. It was nice there.
I left waterbury at 17 yrs old because of all the drugs moved to Florida worked construction retired in February at 70yrs old

Grew up there, Sprague school as a kid, Sacred Heart and then Wilby in high school. Miss the Italian food and my family, and the Fall foliage, but been out West for over 50 yrs, just like wide open spaces. But believe me, deep down I'll always love Waterbury.
Oh Waterbury! I just dont know where to begin. I have lived in Waterbury for as long as I can remember. I have been to many different places in CT as well. However, Waterbury has changed a lot. There are several different places to go such as the Brass Mill Center (The Mall), hiking trails, public parks, DMV, Museums, and much more. For living, I recommend to stay away from the center of the cities, head over to the outskirts of Waterbury, it's not too bad typically around those areas. Well, just try to stay where there are major companies in any city because in those areas people have jobs. The devil finds work for idle hands! No matter where you go, jobs is key.

I’m tired of people down talking Waterbury... I moved here not too long ago and it’s really not that bad as people say it is. If you mind your business and do what you need to do you’ll be fine. There are a lot of nice places here depending on what you like. Every area has a good and bad.

Best decision I ever made was to leave Waterbury!
First graduating class of West Side Middle, and graduated Holy Cross HS. Lived in Weston, Norwalk, Wtby on the southside, Town Plot, Prospect and New Britain before I finally escaped CT. Went to St. Francis for church and Boy Scouts.
Videos about Waterbury and CT show up in my list here, always enjoyable and entertaining to see, every time it's worse than the last.
Enjoy the blue, demoncrat, totalitarian, dystopian decline...while I enjoy God, guns and the Constitution.
The biggest joke about CT is calling itself the Constitution State while denying CT serfs their 2A right.

Anybody who thinks that anyone walking or breathing has the “god given right” to own a gun, is out of their mind. There is a reason why many other countries do not have the gun violence America has. It’s because other countries actually respect strict gun laws, and realize that owning a gun is a privilege- not a right bestowed upon you from some imaginary friend. Other countries actually respect guns a lot more - because they are aware that guns are weapons first and foremost.
The 2nd Ammendment has been debated and reinterpreted to mean “everyone” has a right to bear arms, but according to many people who’ve studied law, the 2nd A originally did not mean individuals it only meant certain groups.
I'm from Waterbury you made it sound interesting however I don't live there anymore. The cost of living is not bad. It have it's good and bad like any other town.
I got out of Waterbury.To many gangs and killings.Cant go out at night.If you have kids you wouldn’t want to send them to school there.
I had no problem sending my kids to school, it was me! I got addicted to crack, although I worked full time I was absolutely miserable!

Waterbury is a wonderful city, with a lot of good and hard working people. Long life to those who have chosen the "Brass City" as their favorite place to live.Isn't good to speak ill or dafame, or insult the place where your parents, children or brothers or even friends have lived. For me is like being a traitor. Believe me, I don't want to hurt nobody's feelings. Thanks God for letting me live in the beautiful city of waterbury for over ten years. Believe it or not I never pass a single day without thinking in Waterbury. God bless Waterbury forever and all its people and a warmhearted salute from the city of Utuado, Puerto Rico.

Outside of Waterbury about 8 or 10 miles I guess. It is actually in Middlebury.

NEVER,EVER get stuck in rush hour traffic. The absolute worst in the UDA. And if your GPS tries to detour you around it, you can count on 1 1/2 hours of crawling along at 2 miles per hour. How anyone can live is is a mystery.

Lived in and outside of Waterbury in 1970-1983. My stepfather worked for Scovill and Anaconda American Brass. Went back a few years ago and could not believe how much it had deteriorated. Like many post-industrial American cities it is more or less a dismal wasteland now.
Houses are not that bad ,do you recommend it?

Well Waterbarry is improving you have to see the supermarket very multiracial people from all over are moving to Waterbarry. Day be day in every way through the grace of god Waterbarry is getting better and better.i love Waterbarry
Waterbury isn't as bad it's just the hood just like anywhere else if you want to live a comfortable life don't live in the hood... if you do work your way out the trap. Waterbury is beautiful I live in the surbs it's nice and peaceful. But just like any city there will always be gang violence.
