If they would not have sit quietly it would have destroyed the total sound since the high quality microphones pick up every sound around them. Thanks to the audience's silence, this recording can be used on a CD. They have emotions, they are just so amazed, listening to the music. And of course:this is a recording session. Those microphones used are not cheap...
They are close family members, they prolly heard the songs a thousand times, and like the other commenter said, it was recorded live, they had to be silent.
They have to be silent because they're recording. The Group was refraining from snapping their fingers which you'd totally do during a live performance.
This is not a live performance, it is a music video. Even if we ignore that noise will bother their hearing of the recording, any noise the audience makes at the video shoot still has nothing to do with the recorded music, except at the end when they chose to use the audience's sound in the video.
I love this video and watched it again and again for years, but NOW I realize for the first time that it is monochrome from start to finish. The music is amazingly colorful.

Those vocal upward leaps are HOT! And this video is where I discovered a group that does a modern, more current version of that nostalgic jazz sound from my childhood (Tom and Jerry, Pink Panther, that kinda sound)

Absolute quality - having been involved in recording a few "live" video sessions myself, it's customary to get a good live audio take first, then concentrate on getting all the additional shots the video director needs while lip-syncing to the good audio take you've already got... That would explain why the cough didn't come out on the audio - a different shot at a different time, but the audio is still very definitely live!
Easily one of the best arrangements of all time for me. Up to this day, am still wondering what happened at 1:34 - 1:39. In my experience, that happens when someone in the group makes a mistake. But for the life of me, i don't hear any. 😊 That Katarina smile is charming.

I looked at the score and it seemed like Anders went a bit sharp (just like a mild guitar bend) in the word "in"? But I wouldn't fault them for that. :) That piece is difficult.
