This is one of the coolest speed-runs I've ever seen! And a neat game I've never heard of. Thanks to all the runners, and AGDQ staff for putting this on every year!
Hidden gem was the exact phrase that came to my mind. I've never heard of this game before, but based on what I see here I reckon it'd have been right up my street as a kid.
I didn’t hear them say what the points were important for so i couldn’t understand the run. Is anyone able to explain the importance of the points to me?

This game looks so sick when done right.
Audio cuts out 2:21 - 2:40 btw
Audio hype!
Should'nta bugged the sound guy, apparently
Thanks, it's good to know I wasn't just losing my mind.
Silence
Probably one of my favorite NES games, a true hidden gem. Very impressive game for its time

The sprite, the animation, the use of colors are really impressive for a famicom game, indeed. Might be one of the most beautiful games on the system.
Also the sound. If I remember correctly, Sunsoft and their sound team was featured in Red Bull's documentary on Japanese NES game music.
I'll say. Never played it and it looks super fun.
Also, super brutal.
Always outstanding to watch Aquas speedrunning this NES gem. Tricks in this one are so impressive.
One of the best video overlays yet, GDQ
That lady smiled more in this one run than I have in the past 5 years. Great run btw.
Runner introduction starts at 0:08. Run starts at 1:29. Couch Commentary provided by AnnK, narshe, and EmmisaurusRex.
Favourite NES game from my childhood
Ayy, a fellow Gimmick player!
Such a shame it was only released in Japan and Scandinavia.

It determines what items spawn (not sure on the details)
Authentic Entertainment
Amazing thumbnail tbh
Megaman + Kirby + SMB2.
Lakitu released before Kirby's Dreamland though
Isn't it more dynamite heady/kid kool
Why is the couch so far back?
Mollz Mystery I guess so the player can concentrate
You can buy this game for 500€ in Finland
I just now realized, due to the announcer’s pronunciation, that The Yetee is a pun on Yeti and Tee shirt...
Box2d for the NES ;)
insane big wiz
