OK, so regarding the alternate training path option. Some units have two options for upgrade, but in the early stages, the training is it usually works like this. A peasant level unit, being the type you usually get from villages has the most options because it is started at the very beginning of the troop tree. If you have set the option to train these units to the alternative promotion you will be training archers. If you want freeholders then you must train them regularly, by saying no when you asked for alt promotions. Beyond that in tier 2 the way it works is the same for most factions. You will choose no alternative promotion if you want spear-men trained or say yes to this option if you want companions. As for the archer/skirmisher path it can be a little different depending on faction, but alternative in this case will sometimes lead to horsemen, or just have a linear path so it doesn't matter what you choose. If you want to see the entire troop tree for any upgrade path in the game, you should open the camp menu and there is a troop tree option among the buttons at the top. As a further tip, I recommend putting 1 of the troop you want to train in the mountain reach, above the recruits you are training. Reason being, all the new troop types you get from training will be moved to the bottom of the list, and will prioritize training before the ones you were currently training, or worse yet if they reach tier 3 or the end of the upgrade path, they will completely stop training all together. You don't need more than one, it is just to keep your list in the order you want and you can use this to properly manipulate the order everything is trained.
How The Council of Jorvik will end up -All went well and everyone is happy -There will be a massive fight and people will get hurt badly or die - Aethelred get his arse kicked - Or Aethelred does a Red Wedding on The Council
Tip : I already said this before. If you are having hard time finding ransom broker Some villages have slave trader at their dock. you can also find weapon smith and armorer as well at some chances.
Ransom brokers in coastal town down at the port. I dont know if you can do this at your refuge, but maybe it can be upgraded to have a prisoner tower and or have a local ransom broker. Loved the battle, it was intense!!
I believe the "alternate option" is the second kind of troop you can train men into. For those peasants it was either Freeholders (the first slot) or Bowman (the second or alternate slot).
you could find out what villages those rival vassals hold and do some counter raids on those villages so that the financial hit you take from them raiding your feif will be less damaging at least as far as far finances are concerned.
Those attacks are really hurting your income, hopefully your work to impress will be able to net you some more fiefs if there's a campaign to start compensating for it though. No one said starting from the bottom was easy but I think your making it work for the most part.
Great raedwald, when you look for a ship I would recommend you look to the north and the colonies of the norse. While you may dislike the danes, and with good reason, acquiring the services of their shipbuilders to construct you a ship will allow you to get the finest shipwrights and with propper resources can have a large ship capable of carrying numerous men into battle and across the sea with great speed and ease as your flagship to start your fleet. Perhaps a veteran captain to assist you in managing marines and sailors and the finer points as well? steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=838952711&searchtext=boat If you havent seen this before as a detailed ship guide.
The alternative promotion is the other branch on the troop tree. If you allow the alternate troop tree I think it gives a 50% chance for bowmen or freeholders because it said allow, not exclusively use the alternate promotion.
Greetings noble sir. I have but one question from one viking to another. Your celebratory shield bashing techniques are simply marvelous and I was just wondering how you manage such things. Is there some sort of button you press in your mens systems or something?
I been playing mount and blade for a while now but I never know how much men I should put in a keep either it not enough or I don't have enough men for my self
Raedwald while the king can decide marshal for himself he may wish for the counsel of his vassals make the final decision so to secure your place as Marshal increase relations with all of the lords- Collum
Raedwald when you said alternate promotion, if you camp there is a troop tree available in case you were unaware, it meant that instead of upgrading in a straight line (peasants to freeholders, freeholders to spearmen) it takes the path that branches off (for angle troops that would be peasants to archers, archers have no upgrades as I'm sure you know, at least angle Ines, Norse, Briton, pict and Irish do, freeholders to companions) in short at the end of the episode you did fix the problem. Also the man that raided your village this episode is a different man to the previous raider who is the king of Gwynedd and whom you defeated last episode with all the other lords of Mierce - Collum
when you are transferring troops if you hold down CNTRL you can move the whole stack. Another great episode! Raedwald is such a beast.

^^^ This.
A load of new people joining the Council! You do know how to bring in the masses Arcade :)
Remember to recruit Peasant Women into your army whenever you rescue them after a battle; the units they upgrade into boost army morale. :)
How The Council of Jorvik will end up
-All went well and everyone is happy
-There will be a massive fight and people will get hurt badly or die
- Aethelred get his arse kicked
- Or Aethelred does a Red Wedding on The Council
Cloud Jumper/Bryan well no. There's probably some plot twist. Aethalred won't be killed by the subscribers, Arcade will do it himself.
Great Jamie Well maybe not necessarily killing Aethelred but you know maybe we beat him up or roast him with words? :p
Cloud Jumper/Bryan of course we must roast them with words xD
Callum Mcfadzean give 'em a good old experience of a good old British roast :)
Cloud Jumper/Bryan Red wedding? Hmm... *Haves Season 3 Episode 9 flashbacks

I believe the trainer upgrades half of your troops to bowmen and the other half to freeholders
And so the national Mercian sport of hunting Welshmen was born.

hi arcade !!
do you have any special for mount and blades bannerlord. because i am so excited for a serie of it .

Maybe it implies only doing the bottom option, I'm not sure. At least you can phase out the Finn archers.

Hey Arcade Knight, ever think about using 'The Last Days of The Third Age' mod? Role Playing In Middle-Earth?
I been playing mount and blade for a while now but I never know how much men I should put in a keep either it not enough or I don't have enough men for my self

Summer sale on steam - Viking Conquest is super cheap right now!
Hint: There is a slave trader at the docks of all ports. i don't think he pays the same as a ransom broker but its close.
