To be fair, it is apparently hinted that the main character of Morrowind is Dragon born. I don't think it ever mentions this in the game, nor does it become a relevant plot point, so I don't think it's much of a spoiler. I know that doesn't change the fact that symbol is Akatosh's and not Skyrim's, but it only adds to show how much Morrowind and Skyrim reference off each other considering the amount of time between them both lore wise and in real life.
So I guess I'll be the first to say, since I'm watching all these videos of yours... That logo you were talking about, with the dragon, I noticed that is the main logo for the Skyrim game coming out. Funny how I never even knew it was in Morrowind until watching this Let's Play of it.
You're mostly right, the Amulet of Kings was created when Akatosh gave his blood to St Alessia, who was the first 'Dragonborn' Before either the Reman or Septim lines, the last septim related to tiber by direct blood was Cassynder Septim (Pelagius Septim III - Katariah Ra'Athim) his death left a void in the line, which was filled by Cephorus Septim II, who was not of direct blood to Tiber. The direct blood relation to Tiber was gone far before Uriel VII was even born.
The symbol on the banners you mentioned is the symbol of Akatosh I mentioned in part 9's comments, which gives the nickname Drake to the coins. Or at least I've always associated it with Akatosh, his avatar being a dragon and the symbol being found in Imperial buildings.
When you said that there looked like a creepy abstract face on the dragon banner, i didn't know how you saw it but i saw another kind of face when you said it. :O Like a long creepy tounge (instead of tail) and no nose and the eyes are the strange symbols near the (i don't find the right word :S)... ! Where the wings are attatched and the "upper" wings are some kind of goblin ears and the neck/head is his kind of haircut. xD
I know this is really late, but cult simply means "minor religious belief." I have no idea how it got the reputation for being "hooded creeps in robes poisoning punch bowls." Love your playthrough gix, Morrowind is my 2nd favorite game and I love watching people who actually know how to play learn as they go.
Haha, it's funny that you thought the Imperial Cult was some evil ominous organization when it's actually the most benign and altruistic faction in the history of fantasy religions. :D
@2PlayerPlaythroughs Well, seeing as the Imperial Empire was VERY vast, especially with Tiber Septim, it's very likely that it's even more so than in the province of Morrowind, as Morrowind was, by nature of the treaty between the Empire and Morrowind, allowed to continue their old practices, including slavery, the Tribunal leadership and the (during the period of TES III at least) vehement opposition to necromancy as opposed to the Empire. Morrowind is unique in that regard, I think.
Isn't there a special sword under one of the beds in there? Sword of White Woe or something. Either in that fort or another one, but I'm pretty sure it was a fort place and under one of the beds (been like 6-7 years since I played so can't recall)
Unfortunately, poisons aren't really a thing you can use in Morrowind. They were one of the few improvements made for Oblivion. Poisons, visible ownership tags, and menu improvements are what Oblivion has to offer over Morrowind. However IMO the setting is far more bland and skills/leveling were cut back a bit.
the imperial cults worship the nine divine. they are basically like the imperials of cyrodill. and like an earlier comment said, that is indeed akatosh
@HardWarUK I don't think that's true. Every single character I have made in Morrowind has had to go to the dormitories to talk the Varro, and nowhere else
@JonnyALC I stole all the lights in the station. They replaced them and I kept stealing them 'till they ran out of lights and resorted to torches, simple really! >:D
@HardWarUK Funny thing is, except dying to the guy on the bridge whose name i can't remember presently, I've never had a problem with this game, and I tend to just run through the first 3 or 4 blades quests. often times not even getting to level 2 on any of them. It depends entirely on your play style what level you can get by with.
It is the symbol representing Akatosh, who gave blood to the first septim, making him DragonBorn. That is the reason that the Amulet of Kings can only be worn by a Septim. They are all DragonBorn (Technically) they're just to stupid to use it. The Emperors that come after Martin Septim, who never really became Emperor, are not actually desendants of the first Septim.
I know its a long time ago now.. but the guy your searching for is down at the beds... and the reason you cant ask for him is that his name isnt linked... so yeah :)
@FirinMa lol u fail, it's not the skyrim logo. i bet you've only played skyrim since you don't know it's akatosh, the imperials in skyrim simply use him to carry out their campaign in skyrim
No need to apoligise, I was just suprised how many people didn't know that. But anyway, I get a little bit pissed when I'm tired, and it was nearly midnight when I wrote that.
So, let me get this straight. There's a guy scaling a prison tower just shoving lit torches into his pocket with nothing being burned or anybody noticing? I do that to my local police station all the time!
actully in oblivion it depends on how long you stay in jail at one point i was in jail for a few months or was it a few years icant remember i pretty much went on a murdering spree had a 100k bounty on my head lost alot of skills like 4 or 5 of each and i dont know if you noticed but HD doesnt show up in some of your videos
What? If you're going to ridicule him, ridicule him for not looking hard enough. The champion was in the basement (down the stairs he deliberately avoided).
ahum,....what does the banner represent: AKATOSH...that symbol is even on the currency. the empire just uses it to rule their supreme army under it and use it as an excuse to invade outher countrys.
@HardWarUK Hypocrite much? You tell him last video to stop thinking of oblivion but in this one tell him to think about a feature that's only in oblivion!
wow thanks gux niw i will see that stupid face every time i see the poster!!! you wreaked the awesome banner and my life isint worth living nemoar!!!!!
lol his fear of doors stopped him from meeting larrius lol
I always shiver when I get "Morrowind" tunes in Skyrim. Well done, Bethesda, that is a good feature!! :-)

Oh, my apoligies(?), I didn't realize that before you pointed that out. Thanks for that bit of info! :)
probably for the best he never found larius i can't see him taking on the morag tong just yet.

@LiveOnCowboy My thoughts exactly. I saw the logo and was instantly floored.
2:46
Argh! What has been seen cannot be unseen
hey John wear the hell did all the lights go??
*gasp* ITS THE THIEF OF LIGHT!
As soon as mentioned it looked like a mask, i was like OMG it's Midna!
When you said that there looked like a creepy abstract face on the dragon banner, i didn't know how you saw it but i saw another kind of face when you said it. :O Like a long creepy tounge (instead of tail) and no nose and the eyes are the strange symbols near the (i don't find the right word :S)... ! "The thief of light strikes again!"
So you're like the Thomas Kincaide of burglary.
thank you for destroying that sign for me at 3:00 :D haha
I know this is really late, but cult simply means "minor religious belief." I have no idea how it got the reputation for being "hooded creeps in robes poisoning punch bowls."

Stairs. Go down the stairs. DOWN THE STAIRS! NOOO!
Hey.... Did anyone else notice around 1:43 that Gix looked to his left? Probably a clock...
Haha, it's funny that you thought the Imperial Cult was some evil ominous organization when it's actually the most benign and altruistic faction in the history of fantasy religions. :D

Gix. That dragon banner that was in the prison tower was the Skyrim symbol.
... Skyrim's symbol is actually the symbol of Akatosh...
Unfortunately, poisons aren't really a thing you can use in Morrowind.

How come no one knows that it is Akatosh's symbol, not the Skyrim symbol -_-
"Where'd all the torches go?"
that dragon banner looks like some dremora head for me
You said "Repair Thongs" LOL
That dragon on the banner you were talking about is supposed to be Akatosh I believe. The dragon at the end of Oblivion.
Yeah isnt the sign on the banner from the skyrim trailer
@HardWarUK Funny thing is, except dying to the guy on the bridge whose name i can't remember presently, I've never had a problem with this game, and I tend to just run through the first 3 or 4 blades quests. often times not even getting to level 2 on any of them. Yeah, the Thief of Light strikes again! :D
@HardWarUK Huh....
Well now that I think about it... all my characters were anywhere from level 1 to 3 when I would visit him anyways
At 5:52, it sounded like you said "Repair Thongs!" Ha!
When you put it that way. They really DO look like helms. :S

@hgeh No, you are definitely not the only one. I do that too.
@gixG17 He was downstairs. :P
@ToastedWafflez your local police uses torches from the medieval era? in what rich town do you live?
I know its a long time ago now.. but the guy your searching for is down at the beds... and the reason you cant ask for him is that his name isnt linked... so yeah :)
It does look like a mask

What? If you're going to ridicule him, ridicule him for not looking hard enough. The champion was in the basement (down the stairs he deliberately avoided).

Its funny you don't search the one spot he's at.
ahum,....what does the banner represent: AKATOSH...that symbol is even on the currency. the empire just uses it to rule their supreme army under it and use it as an excuse to invade outher countrys.
