It feels like Ryan is the only one who really knows how to properly describe what's going on in this video, and he's not even at the controls of either station.

+Night Hawk Gaming Well, Achievement Hunters aren't required to know how to use a graph/Cartesian coordinates in many games.
+Satherian Although in any semi decent schooling system they would have been required to learn this shit.
+Night Hawk Gaming Because everyone thinks cartesian is the only thing in existence. In many cases where you have a matrix of values it is often the case that it is simply easier to address things by Row and Column (R, C) as opposed to (X, Y). If you have done any programming you will also notice this is extremely common.
i.e. in many games and graphical applications the origin is in the top left of the screen/window. So pixel values are addressed more easily by (Y-Height, X) or more simply (Row, Column).

It really helps to have everyone look at the top pictures in the manual so you know how to describe it. I mean the game is not designed for the finding the proper instructions part to take the most time.

+Kathryn Williams +TheVictoryHawk Many practical applications use row-column over a cartesian coordinate system. More often then not it barely changes much (y axis is flipped because r = y-height) and the math remains the same accounting for the flipped y-axis.
Once you get out of the cradle that is high school (or more likely early high school) you'll see a lot of other systems and their uses. i.e. Parametrics, Polar Coordinates, the Complex Plane, and abstractions like Row-Column.
Matthew Crocco Funnily enough currently studying for dynamics midterm, so know all about other types of coordinates, doesnt change the fact that for something like this, the standard is usually x-y
TheVictoryHawk Oh! Nice to meet you. I was just frustrated with all of the comments of how it is "wrong". And I would tend to disagree. In many applications, like graphics, it is much more common to use the Row-Column format. I mean then you know matrices, this is literally a matrix. It is more common, at least in my experience, to see things labeled in terms of Row and Column. I would say cartesian is fine but it isn't wrong to use Row-Column.

Kudos on beating the morse code bit. That one absolutely murdered Mike and Gavin. It didn't help that Gavin got stuck with the harder end even with Michael having some knowledge about a few items. I now know why they hung up the pieces. To bad Gavin didn't have Jack and Ryan to help.

That's how you label a graph when used for games, like for battleship and chess. I understood it perfectly, he was even SAYING 1 down, 2 right and whatnot.
He was also describing it EXACTLY how Jack told him to
+Jake N It's a coordinate system that a lot of people use. Origin in the top left is, for example, used for the output of imaging systems.
And this is why, in my opinion at least, Jack is one of the best people in AH. Don't get me wrong- I love everyone in Achievement Hunter- but he's in my top three. And it makes me sad that people hate on him so much. But in any case, nice work guys! At least this video didn't bomb like a few others.

For people who like this type of video, I would suggest Hat Films' play through. They use a com system to communicate with their bomb defuser. This adds some pressure and humor by the defuser as they can not hear the panic of the intel team and panics during the silence between communication. Its a brilliant idea that I feel AH could adopt for their next taping of this gameplay.
I don't know if this has been answered anywhere, but is Rage Quit just over and done with? There has been a long hiatus and I don't remember hearing any official word on it.
Don't get me wrong, I love Play Pals and it pretty much fills the gap, I was just wondering about it.
They said they were going to release shows whenever they wanted. They have no schedule they just release whatever they whenever they want . the only showw that has a schedule is Minecraft.
