We spent ONE WEEK travelling in Sri Lanka, exploring all the top sights! We start our journey in Colombo, before exploring Dambulla Cave Temple and spending a full day exploring Sigiriya, including famous sights including from Sigiriya Lion Rock and Pidurangala Rock. We then make our way a bit further south, climbing the infamous Ambuluwawa Tower, before taking in the beauty of the Nine Arches Bridge in Ella. We end our week with a beautiful safari in Udawalawe National Park and some R&R in Hikkaduwa.

We spent roughly $2500 AUD between the two of us for 8 nights excluding flights. We definitely think you could do it a bit cheaper - because we were a big group we paid extra for a bigger van, and had the van with us the entire time. If you used a few more trains you could definitely save some money if needed! 😊
Your tour guide didn't tell you about the history of Sigiriya ? And you can go in the Red mosque to anyone...there is a dress code....
