Phil hit the nail on the head there. Without the likes of Jocky, darts would not be where it is now. I never got the chance to watch Jocky play because he'd have retired a few years after I was born, so I was unfortunate not to see the great man in action. Never a fan of the Bristowes, Dellers, Hankeys and kings but enjoyed Barney, The Power and The Menace when they came on the scene. Yeah me too. You felt that the singing for Jocky could have gone on all night, and said more than any words could ever say. Through a people's game, Jocky and Sid helped unite and bind the working class of this country through Thatcherism and beyond, and because of them and a few others, made darts what it is today. What memories they'll be able to share.
jocky wilson was one of the best dart players ever just a humble guy who was good at darts and all the scots loved him to bits no matter what 10 semi finals in a row i think in the bdo when it was proper game and the players he had to beat for his two world titles makes it seem so hard lowe in one of them a bristow in the other i had always hoped jocky might make a comeback even if it was just talking about darts even all these years after his death and all the vids you watch what a great man he really was god bless jocky darts is now poorer place without you
Any ideas where i can see 'Kircauldy Man' ?? I SO Want to see this.. One of the GREATEST Players and just such a NICE man.. As a Fellow Scot i remember watching Jocky when i was Young.. Amazing.. Darts just isn't the same as back them :/
