    I am a long time custom woodworker, mostly furniture, but just about anything. If you want a shelf that is easy to break down making it easy to store and move, send me the specs and I will design something for you. I'm retired and just do fun projects now.

    Nice looking displays. FYI.. You can save a lot of time and effort if you get a brad or finish nailer (pneumatic or battery model) and attach all the shelf slates using this (more irreversible) and then use screws where you might want to remove things. This would easily be 10x faster and quite secure where you want it to be. Just saying. Great looking breads!!

    FYI Phillips screws were designed to cam out (strip) . Star screws are better. Good going, Jon. Have a great day

      Robertson screws all day long. Canadian patent, I think it's less common to find robertson screws in the U.S.

    • @DustinLe1
      @DustinLe1 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      May be hard to find square / robertson screws in AZ. But the local HD should have Spax screws which are a modified Torx bit and can't recommend them enough. Just get an assorted bit set for your impact driver and you'll be ready for whatever screws you encounter :-)

      I run my own business and strongly disagree. There are a very few very important things and a whole bunch of stuff you can procrastinate the important things by focusing on. If this shelf doesnt get fixed who cares? He's not going to be on his death bed wishing he'd gotten round to it

      If your customers are going to shop elsewhere because of a broken rack you need new customers. Which is what John needs, customers that you only see on Saturdays are not enough.

    Homedepot located in your home town is LOCAL. There are also products that Homedepot have & your local construction yard does not.

      Tree2Tool I don’t have any issue with shopping at a store like Home Depot or Target they employ residence in the community etc...I just know that for some people they want to feel like they are investing in a locally owned business, and I can dig that too. I support both.

    Star drive and square drive are the best screws, they are far easier to drive and remove. I would build these racks with the shelves glued and screwed together. Then attach them to the uprights with out glue. That would give them a good durability and Still be easy to repair!

  • @zardiw
    @zardiw 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Adopt Square Drive. Deck screws come in all sizes. Also Pre Drill the hole that it goes through.....

    Could you at some point speak to why other bakers have an issue working with whole wheat flour , specifically 100 percent whole wheat? I know you've spoken about having a special blend created for your needs , but to me the dough you make never resembles the colour of my whole wheat bread dough. Is it the stone grind ? Any help would be appreciated ! You seem not to have the gluten development issues I seem to get.

Excellent for that power drill you started the job with. He was a Canadian (where I am now) but I lived in Scottsdale, AZ when I was 5. OMG that was 50 years ago. =)
