Know what? This is a pretty good first car. As a 19 y/o boy who loves cars and is surrounded by “racer boy” mates, I decided to settle for this exact polo for my first car. Insurance is cheap and honestly its got fair amount of stuff you’d want in a small hatch. Of course it can be annoying on motorways when trying to push it or people trying to race you and you can’t really do anything.. however it gets me from A-B and I use it in the city mostly. When I can get insured on a much powerful car as I get older, then I may probably settle for a Golf R (and actually fit in with my friends) or a C class
@@amon4781 2.2k as Im from a sketchy area in London and got my car and policy as soon as I passed at 19.. it shouldn't be priced that high if you're from somewhere out of the city though- probably about 1-1.5k average.
I've driven the non turbo and turbo version. You're right about the non turbo being dangerously slow but the turbo was acceptable for sensible city and motorway driving. If I ever did buy one first thing I would do is map it for extra needed poke
Won't be my first car, but I'm thinking of buying a 2021 or 2020 VW Polo with a DSG box. Heard they're some of the best automatics you can buy for the money.
@@ParagonCarsLondon Thanks I didn’t know that. One more question: Is the polo a quieter and a more comfortable car on the road compared to other cheaper alternatives like the corsa or the fiesta?
@@mortadharafid8174 it’s a bit more spacious inside and quieter inside than the corsa. The new fiesta is nearly as quiet but the polo is definitely softer and more comfortable for longer journeys
But the sport mode the difference it makes is the suspension it lets the rev go up to 6000 to shift and the car is fun af I only got a suspension kit on and 17” wheels and it turns like a race car 😂

Does the car have a sport mode?
