@@TooruJJ you shouldve told us we can use medium high preset of mastercomfig its best of balance of graphics and gameplay. med low if you have 4gb ram and med around community servers.
Glad you went into detail with system settings instead of just talking about how to install mastercomfig like every other guide. TF2 is one of those games that you really have to experiment with to find out what works best with your system. Personally, I find that hardware accelerated GPU scheduling causes stutters when on, so that may be worth checking out (likewise with game mode, which you already mentioned). Also, in order to achieve more consistent frame times, you can try out software like process lasso or rivatuner to cap your fps. Updating drivers/BIOS is also very important
Not even kidding this guide actually helped me out so much. Sometimes my PC struggles a bit and I'll get random frame dips but so far that hasn't happened with the commands and some of the things you said in the video. Bit of advice though, next time you do videos like this don't use wallpapers like the Gohan one, it actually made it a bit hard to see and there are people who're sensitive to seizures and strobing flashy lights.
Why, for the entirety of tf2's existence, have I never heard A SINGLE TIME about the mat_queue_mode command? How is that even possible? Just booted up a map I've been lagging on for a while, usually from 40 to 50 fps at most. Currently jumping around it with 190, this is absolutely ridiculous
be careful with the msconfig stuff, it's more for troubleshooting, for example I set my cores to 4 rather than 6 on my laptop to save battery, and it breaks variable clockspeeds for my machine Same for the RAM option, if it's enabled Windows will suddenly use a lot for "system reserved" and you just lose like a gig of ram for no reason
He didn't use unsupported Hz by his monitor, he said he forgot/didn't notice that his monitor supports 75Hz and forgot to select it so he was playing on 60Hz the entire time instead
bro msconfig is for cpu core not gpu cores? what does nvidia have to do with anything also msconfig will use all cores by default unless you switched cpus also game mode is always better and every1 saying other wise are making unsubstantiated claims not watching further guys this guy is the most default guy not knowing what hes talking abt
You just killed anybody with epilepsy who got within a 5 mile radius of your desktop PLEASE change that or put a major flashing warning before ever showing it in a video again
A lot of these tips are questionable at best and are directly advised against in the mastercomfig docs. The threads launch param maxes at three and is advised against even by Valve themselves. The HUD model has had a negligible performance hit since the 64 bit update, same for the match HUD.

Oh yeah, btw, as of the 64 bit update, the hud avatar no longer hogs your frames, so it should be safe to enable without a significant loss. Great vid
POV: me playing tf2 on linux XD
I did most of what you said and my fps went from 80-150 to 150-300!
that blackmore background is great
