It never occurred to me how much work and effort you would have to put in to keep the dogs in such wonderful condition, but it is a credit to you that you keep them looking so beautiful, they are so lucky to have such loving and caring owners.

I only have cats so mostly don't have to bath. Baths only if they get into something and soil fur..I do have to do brushing on long fur and nail trim. Nail trim hardest. Cute how Olive watched and ran away.. Neighbor had Husky and brushed excess fur outside. Lawn looked like wooly snow,you couldn't see the grown. Birds liked fluff for nest

Wow! Where was this ingenious idea with the mosquito tent when my Nakita was alive? She loved to be brushed and my poor arms were so tired after daily brushing to "try" and keep up with the blowing fur.
It's a great idea the mosquito 🦟 tent! When I finish the toilettage of Txiki the bathroom is like there has been a snowstorm 😂 with hair! And, she doesn't have as much hair as Yuki 😂 Bonne journée 😘
I left my husky's collar on then tied his leash to a beam outside. I have a hot water tap in the garage so I would bathe him and dry him the best I could but as soon as I turned him loose he would zoom around the back yard and then roll around in the grass. I left him outside for awhile to sun dry. The air blower freaked him out so much I had to assist the groomer the one time I took him in. He was actually really good for a husky compared to the husky bath vids I've see.
as a groenendael owner, i feel you and totally relate for all that undercoat fluff flying everywhere, but the tent is a great idea! I guess i'll go buy one too!! Yuki is a really polite husky btw, i always see huskies singing the song of their people when groomed! How do monty and olive handle being groomed?

I had two dogs, a Golden Retriever and a Dingo. The latter seemed to be pure Dingo. Golden is a water dog. He absolutely hated being washed. It was a real struggle. The Dingo hated being wet but would put up with a bath for about ten minutes. After that she left and that was the end of it. Both dogs were active and did need baths once in a while.
My Dingo got a wooly undercoat in winter. I brushed her out using a not to stiff dog brush with a nylon stocking over it. When the brush was full I peeled the stocking off, which took the wool with it and started again. She would not put up with being brushed too long so it took several sessions to clean her.

Generally double coated dogs need a full grooming every 6 weeks to two months, sometimes they can get away with it for 6 months, if not working (constantly outside, doing agility courses, etc) but it's not recommended.
Brushing every night before bed.( kitties). Not only do they love this but its become a night time ritual and bonding experience. I love both dogs & cats. Just happen to have cats currently. A mama kitty( 20) and her daughters 2 from first litter (18) 1 from 2nd littler ( 17). Theyre all in great shape for their ages! First found her & 1st litter in my detached storage garage in spring. Before fall she had 2nd litter. Someone abandined her. Dats my furry babies story!

My Shepherd/Husky mix shed like that too. I used to strip down to my underwear to avoid getting fur all over me LOL. The mosquito tent is brilliant.
