As an owner of both husky and malamute for the last 16 years, I am very impressed with your 3 huskies. They are well trained and calm. I wish there is a place near us where we could bathe our current mal. It is always like a war zone after a bath with fur flying everywhere. Shower in the backyard is not possible when the weather sucks. Who wants to go out in the rain to bathe a dog or 3 in your case? :) Compliments to both of you!

This video is a masterpiece! You are in the minority of husky( or any dog) videos that show kindness, intelligence and respect to the dog(s). There are husky bathing videos that recommend rinsing the dog with the dirty, soapy water they are standing in, with a CUP!! Hard to comprehend. Your video is like a breath of fresh air. Wow there are place where you can take your your dog & groom them yourself. Beautiful dogs...grate video...I rescued a bird that fell out of it's nest and I took care of it till it was better and than I let it go.

I love all your husky babies! Your video was very informative too. With my baby boy, Zeus, I was lucky to have him grow up so calm and playful at the same time. I think the key with the bathing situtation was repetition and familiarity every other month. I did this since he was 2 months old. Cutting his nails and trimming the excess hairs from the bottom of his paws is the only thing he does not like but he lets me do it on him. He is superb with toothbrushing, which I also incorporate when bathing and grooming him. Like I said, start when they’re young, it helps in the long run!
I have been looking for tips to help with my husky. She is about a year old and blind, don't let that get to you because she's still ALL husky and full of personality. Bathing her includes a swimsuit, 5 to 8 towels, and a few prayers along the way.
We do not have a local doggie wash, sadly. I have been told to try smearing peanut butter on the shower wall to keep her preoccupied. The brush order was a HUGE thing to learn, thank you!! She's fluffing at the moment...

@@huskysquad We have been working on the bathing thing. I dont think it is easy for her, as she can't see what is going on. Me actually being in full physical proximity to her has seemed to ease her angst a bit and I haven't aggrivated my back issues by trying to wrangle her. She gets a lick of cocout oil and a hard boiled egg afterwards, so I am in the hope she is relating it to positive reinforcement. The zoom groom is kinda a no go for her as she HATES brushes and combs. Also, she hasn't developed the longer outter coat that is kinda wirey. She is still super soft and fluffy ❤. Finding videos like yours has been a gift. Although not every helpful tip adapts to our situation, it certainly helps with ideas. The diluted shampoo and conditioner has been a big one!! I use a 2 ltr soda bottle with a hole in the cap. It has helped with the husky as well as the Jack Russell (who is a dream to bathe by the way lol). Thank you again so very much and I will certainly hit up the new video!

beautiful dogs...great video...I rescued a wolf-like husky that was a little wild and crazy...the first few years he stayed outside all year long...two winters ago he screamed out in pain...the vet said he had a bad back with pinched nerves...so from then on he had to be house trained...he did great...he only goes out and plays when it's above 45...he had to be calmed down and trained when inside because of our 4 chihuahuas...he did...and they love him, and he loves them...but when he goes out, it's back to being crazy, he knows the difference...he's very smart...he's in a couple of my videos...he does not like kisses or even hugs really...but he does give and take kisses from the chihuahuas...we call him big wolf...because we call the chihuahuas little wolves...I learned a lot from your video about bathing...thanks...
I am SO glad I found your video/channel! I recently adopted a husky mix and have been using the Furminator. Her coat has been patchy and not soft at all. I didn't even think it was the brush! I thought it was doing what it's supposed to :( I've fostered a lot of dogs, but never a double-coated dog! I was trying to fix it by just changing her diet, but now I'll let it grow back and just use the proper grooming tools
What a great video. I have 2 huskies & want to try to wash them my self. I have done it before but when they were very young. I am a senior & it is will be better if I wash them myself. You are so mellow and calm. Good way to be around them.❤😊

Great video! Some people never see this grade of obedience! I had a wonderful Malamute and she would help me train my other dogs. One day, I accidently forgot her in front of a store. The shop owners said "That dog didn't move a inch"!

I just got a Husky Puppy (well she's a husky/border collie mix) she absolutely loves baths and I honestly believe it's because I watched this video first and I did everything right. She loves getting brushed as well and I ordered the zoomgroom, I can't recommend it enough, dogs love the massaging and it really gets all the dirt out. Thank you guys for this video!

Thanks for this video. We're going to pick up our Husky tomorrow and all the other videos of Huskies going crazy had me a little worried. He's still a puppy, and he's in the shelter, so he is full of energy and was kind of crazy when we met him. But he seems like he really likes me and wanted to come home with me. I went to look at a German Shepherd, but he was already taken. But I think we will be happy with our Husky.
My son gave me my 😢 I couldn't be happier. I do think if I get another dog, it will be from a shelter.

These videos are great but we would like and prefer a show of shampoo etc washing products. Most of the tools (combs) are easier to find rather than the washing products.

Thanks so much for these great videos, I love them all but this type helps me so much to learn how to make things better with Runa. I have to get that zoom grom, I think it will help me so much to clean her better, I always thought it could pull her hair and she wouldn't like it but I can see in your video that is gentle and they enjoy it so much :)
I will love to watch videos of everything as I said they help me so much, but maybe tips about caring their paws or the food you give to them, especially about suplements that could help to prevent different husky injuries, I saw you give them chondroitin.

I love this video, you have such a calming voice and great techniques. I put my husky in the shower with me to wash him, a detachable showerhead helps a lot, especially because it takes so long to get him rinsed off well. Bravo on the video and I completely agree with the zoom groom! It's a must!

Hello Tony! Huskies are relatively clean dogs who usually clean themselves, but you’ll know when your husky is ready for his next bath once he starts getting smelly.
Thanks for the tips. My sixth husky never bathe my other huskies. Always brought them to groomers. This one really loves to dig and all the rain we have been having. He has been making mud pies and rolling in it. Had 17 holes in yard . Face and legs covered in think mud. Stinky too. So decided to give it a shot. Video very helpful.

Oh my, I wish I found this before I gave my pup the first shower. No I can’t undo the bad experience from her. I have some questions though if you don’t mind.
What are the trainings that you go through to help them stay calm? I have a 10 week-old so I guess the earlier you start the better?
And is the process still the same for younger Husky, wish I learnt about this earlier, feel bad.

Have a 4 month husky. I was trying to find a better way to remove his loose hair. Normally just pet him down with the wire brush, but it didnt seem to get it all. May have to try this. Also ya i had to switch to a blow dryer as well even with shakes he still retained alot. He loves it tho. Thanks for the vid 😀👍

This video is amazing!! It seems so simple! I even found it relaxing watching this video, while bath time with my puppy is usually a hard time... she is 5 months old, and had 3 baths already, but she hates it. We try to make it as good as possible with treats, but we are always fighting as she always wants to go out. She seems to be afraid of the bath water, while she loves to go in the waterfalls or small river... how long did it take you to get them so quiet like this and to actually enjoy bath time as in this video?

It actually didn't take us much for them to be this way, but I think the key was to first understanding the when and and how. Your pup is young and she will need THAT much more exercise before doing anything like this with her. I'm a new husky owner and I'm currently looking to change her food to something better after having received her from a local Husky rescue. I very much appreciate your videos!!! :)
Bilal A ok, sounds good 😀 we'll keep all of it in mind. You can definitely start with Acana Freshwater - it's a great food. If you can't find a secondary option would be Taste of The Wild. Acana is better though. I would not feed any lower quality than taste of the wild. Thank you so much for rescuing 😍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
